What I like to do is going for a double torch melee strategy as Shillelagh and Symbiotic Entity both work with both of your torches meaning at level 2 your main weapon does 6-21 damage and if you put one level into fighter and choose the Two handed weapon power as fighter your second torch does 6-17 damage plus you can use your reaction to cast halo of spores to do 1-4 damage 2x which is super broken so what I do is I put 2 levels in to spore druid then 1 into fighter then continue maxing druid until you reach level 5/6 to re-spec into full druid and going for a full necromancy strategy If you decide to go Drow as well you can go double cross bows and go for a ranged build if you already have a front liner What you could also do is put one level in to fiend warlock for the +4 temp health whenever you kill something if you want to stay healthy while front lining

Use the free spell slots from the staff to summon your undead at lvl 6, summon your spore minions, summon deva from the scroll in sorceries sundries, and then buff the whole party and ALL the summons with Heroes Feast (it stacks with Aid also). Then just use the staff spell slots to spam blight.

Because of the heavy investment motivation I prefer 10/2 over 6/6. the wizard scribing is available at level 1 so even a 1 level dip will give you access to any scroll you come across. as a full caster your spell progression will continue to 6th level slots, and personally I only ever really up-cast my summons (notably the elemental) with my 6th level slot so missing out on those spells doesn't bother me. for the last level I like cleric for the heavy armor and shield to give the druid itself a bit of durability. for my progression i would probably start druid till 8, then go back to withers and do cleric 1, wiz 1 and druid 6. You fall behind on 2 levels of progression, but hopefully have stockpiled some interesting spell scrolls by 8 and can lean into them while you wait for your druid level to get back up. you can play the build with INT investment for casting from wizard, run items to boost your INT, or just focus on support skills from cleric/druid to use WIS and leave the blasting to another part member. the biggest problem with the class is just preserving the temp HP from symbiotic, especially on a melee build. To that end I play the Spore druid as a mid-range support in most cases, focusing on concentration and support buffs. once you manage this downside I find Spore to be the most versatile and enjoyable of the druid subclasses and a great option for party "support" away from the traditional "healer". It also thematically fits with a "Dark" playthrough and can be used instead of a cleric for some interesting team comps.
@remortisgaming

Definitely agree with all these points. The only reason to go to 6 necro is for the buffed minions, but even then they’re not THAT great of buffs. 10 Spore/1 Cleric/1Wiz Or 10 Spore/2Fighter could be great too. Honestly starting 1 level as Fighter or Sorc could be solid for that juicy con save. .
@bobnewkirk7003
11 ай бұрын
@@remortisgamingEntirely agree on the cons save. You get shield and heavy armor on both the Fighter and Cleric (war/life) so they are a 1-to-1 swap, plus you technically get your 6th slot at 11, so the last point is a freebee as long as the other single is full caster. Action Surge on Fighter 2 makes for a juicy first round, but with the limited action economy already on druid and sacrificing the Myrmidon for it makes it not worth it for me. I tend to play in the "Dungeon-Crawler" mindset and try to take as few Long Rests as possible. Though it sounds like many players rest after every encounter, so you might be able to argue the other way in a more "greedy" playstyle.

That is correct. You’ll only have 2 do you *need* 3 feats? The jaheira build doesn’t really need 3 in my opinion. And really the 4th level slot is mostly used for woodland being, which is probably my fav 4th level Druid spell :)

While I have you here: WIS as high as I can get it, DEX just high enough to get the +2 armor bonus, right? So both feats into WIS, probably? Because from what I understand both Flame Blade and Sylvan Blade use Spellcasting (WIS), not DEX and AFAIK, Belm in the off-hand will scale off whatever the main-hand weapon scales off. Then buy her Armor of the Sporekeeper and start spreading the mould?
@remortisgaming
11 ай бұрын
@@1SaG correct they do. I’m not sure about how belm operates in terms of mainhand stats. I assumed it’d use Dex since it’s finesse. But also to my understanding Belm is meant to be a single weap since it lets you use bonus action attacks. Meaning it doesn’t need to be dual wielded.
@1SaG
11 ай бұрын
@@remortisgamingI just beat up my (half naked... yikes!) Tav with Jaheira in her basement, checking all the attack rolls. It was a bit ...weird... but it seems to me that Belm scales off Dexterity for its normal attack (main or off-hand), but if you put it in the off-hand, its special precision attack (the one that appears in the extra box at the very right of the UI) will use whatever the main-hand weapon uses. So Flameblade or Sylvan Scimitar main-hand, Belm in the off-hand, disable dual wield attacks and then use main-hand attack as an action and Belm's special attack as your bonus action. Drawback: You will lose Belm's Whirlwind attack when you use the sword in your off-hand. But this is *probably* the highest damage potential with these weapons. Not sure about Flameblade vs Sylvan Scimitar. Flameblade should do more damage (plus you can upcast it) but I can't seem to cast it in preparation for a fight. If I do that the blade will disappear once the fight starts and I have to cast it again, losing my bonus action on round one. So there's more micro-management involved. From what I gather, Belm is probably meant to be used together with the staff you find alongside it in the wardrobe. Not sure how I can dual-wield with a staff in the mix (probably the Dual Weapon feat, not the Dual Weapon Fighter fighting style?). What folks on the web suggest for this combo though it to put the staff in your main-hand, cast Shillelaghghdfg on it, making the staff use WIS for its attacks, then put Belm in the off-hand (which will then also use WIS on its special attack). Not sure if this is still true, but folks on reddit report that you don't even need many proficiencies or all the Dual Weapon stuff for this - you only need to be proficient with what is in your main-hand - which would be a quarterstaff in this case. Alas, I haven't been able to equip staff and scimiatar together, so I guess that *would* require the Dual Weapon Feat.

I'm trying not to be an ass, since you got some good info there, but man, you can't be making "ULTIMATE guides" without understanding at least how multiclassing works. Primary spellcasting ability will be int for everything you pick as wizard, wisdom for everything you pick as druid, regardless of how you order the levels. Only thing affected by level ordering is starting proficiencies and scaling of spells acquired through items. And for both of these, you got to pick first level as druid for the build you're making. Druid has better starting proficiencies and with main stat int, you want your items to scale off int, so wizard has to be last.
@remortisgaming
11 ай бұрын
I know exactly how multiclassing works. But in bg3 it doesn’t work the way it’s suppose to. When you have the same ability from different sources, the game doesn’t know which class to draw from so it goes based on your primary stat which is selected when you pick your first class. (The game doesn’t use your highest agility score to determine which stat to use, it goes off of your first class chosen) Test it out. Then come back.
