"The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control." This is wonderful advice.. for the layperson.. but some of us, though we find strength in these words, already knew this..beware of putting stars in other people’s eyes. This is very advanced knowledge, but maybe make sure that the unfeeling inhuman algorithm that has nothing to lose is actually able to pronounce the words you think are so important. Some dreams are bigger than you give credit to, and are dependent upon an equal exchange of energy. It’s obvious that the authors are not singers. You can have all the talent in the world, but MY dreams needed more support than you seem to comprehend. I guess in the end, I actually did win, because my walls and barriers are impenetrable. AND, I eventually did find my tribe that loves my voice.. not a damn one of them can help me pay rent.. what was the gross annual income of these bastions of stoicism?
