Fun fact: his grammy was the head librarian in the small town I grew up in. She told me when Merle and GG came for Thanksgiving, they KNEW to say please and thank you or they didn’t get any mashed potatoes. That sweet old lady had every one of his cassettes and singles and LPs in her living room next to the Lawrence Welk and Frank Sintatra (I might be making up that last part, I forget what other albums she had besides her extensive collection of Murder Junkies)
