Currently, Taekwondo style fighters are not well seen in kickboxing/Muay Thai matches, but in the past, there were TKD based fighters who competed head-on with kickboxers and Muay Thai fighters and won a lot. Manson Gibson, Ignacio Capllonch, Serkan Yılmaz, Hassan Kassrioui, Steve Vick What they have in common is that they have some skill in boxing (sometimes they win with punchs), and their side kicks, back kicks, roundhouse kicks, spin kicks, and spinning back fists are beautifully fast and strong. Among them, Manson Gibson's style is truly unique and is a subject of study. His side kick's reach is really long, and he is very strong in clinch because he has done some amateur wrestling. That lower block definitely has to be a WTF thing. Sometimes I do notice some ITF practitioners do it, but it's a habit I see with sports practitioners because the coach would force them to do it. I've crossed trained between the two in my late teen. Anyway, that video was one of my favourites from him, and it really opened my eyes as to what TKD lacks. More like they waste time trainig for their own tournaments, when they could easily do a 30 min, after-class, kickboxing rules spar to really kick ass like Micah here.

the spinning back kick (some styles call it a spinning side kick since the toes aren't pointed down) is the single most underrated move in striking. The power and explosiveness of a spinning back kick is incredible. From a tactics perspective, you can see from Kwonkicker (who I've followed for years and years, got great kicking tips from him back in the day), that a good spinning back kick is subtle. The Thai boxer doesn't even begin to react until half way through the kick, when Kwonkicker's shoulders start to rotate, and by then it's pretty much too late.
