So I suggest look up google - "Herodotus on Kashmir", You will eventualy find this Article. He goes on to describe the various Dress, Habits and Behavior of Indoi Tribals in the Region, Along with this he mentions that most of Bactria is inhabited by Indoi Tribes, similar to ones found in Kashmir. Uttara Kuru (Khotan):- Uttara Kuru was also a janapada of ancient India during the post Vedic period. The earliest reference of Uttara Kuru is found in Aitareya Brāhmaṇa. According to Rāmāyaṇa, Uttara Kuru Janapada was located in the north of Śailodā River (Neelum or Kiśangaṅgā River). Kichaka type of Bamboo trees were grown on the banks of Śailodā River. It was also called as Nimnagā because it flows from north to south and merges with Vitastā or Jhelum River. Mahābhārata indicates that Śailodā River was located between Meru (Karakoram) and Mandara (Pir Panjal) ranges. In the process of Rājasūya Yajña, Arjuna conquered Uttara Kuru during the Mahābhārata era. According to Khotanese legends, King Aśoka Maurya’s son Kroṣṭana or Khuṣṭana founded the Khotan Kingdom around ~1500 BCE. Seemingly, the name “Khotan” derived from Kroṣṭana. Khotanese or Uttara Kuru King Vijaya Kirti was a contemporary of Kushana King Kanishka (1150-1118 BCE). Interestingly, many Sino-Kharoshthi coins have been found in Khotan. These coins refer to a King, namely, Gurgadama (Maharajasa Yidirajasa Gurgadamasa).

It's a tragedy that all the Indian influence and culture was wiped out of most of the world and even in parts of the subcontinent itself, but shouldn't we also be a bit more self critical and think why were our culture and influence so swiftly erased? Did we get too decadent? We're we too involved in infighting?

Nothing remains forever. Dynasties rise and fall all the time in history. Even turkish influence has been wiped out from these regions today. It is just the nature of time itself. By the way, Indian influence lasted many times longer than turkish influence in these regions, and by comparison, chinese influence today is just a blip in time. We need to remain strong ourselves, and very soon, Indian influence will again return over all these lands, but only if we could ourselves stay strong.

History involves a certain, objective process for assessing “truth”. It is worthwhile learning that process, bearing in mind that new evidence may cause that truth to change. Asserting epics as history, without credible evidence, is not history-making, even if the epics themselves may call themselves “history”.

Because Sufi islam was better suited for merchants, religion of Indonesia was influenced by religions of Bengal and odisha, Bengal being a sultanate influenced the religion there, Next reason is the incorporation of islam with hinduism Third reason is that Hindus have become decadent during that time, rampant caste discrimination and the gap between the religious scriptures and common people increased so much hence people become disconnected to their gods, same thing happening now in india

One has to study the writings of Maha Mahopadhyaya 😅 Rahul Sankrityayan who had travelled extensively from India, present day Pakistan, central Asia and upto Russian Lake Baikal and written down his experiences in his book Ghumakkad. He mentions in his book that Khotan was known as Kustan (breast of Bhoomata) and over period of time it has become Khotan. The other notable place in Khustan country is Kashghar Or Khasagiri. These areas were ruled by Khas people who are an Indo-Aryan tribe prior to Turkik invasion of the Khotan country. These Khus tribes also ruled a country/area called Kucha which is birth place Kushans. Mahakavi Rahul Sankrityayan had in the said book referred to Indian terminology. Mr Abhijit Chavada may refer to the books written by Rahulji Rahulji in his writings had also taken the unknown Indian history by hundreds. years. Rahulji also written several books On Rigveda Aryans, Olga se Ganga, Ghumakkad, Simha Senapathi etc. Our view of Indian history would take us unknown realms after reading Rahulji's writings.

India lost and survived both because of its culture. Indian kings had a different way of fighting war, like not attacking enemy on back or no war after sunset, no harm to captives, no harm to child, women and elders stc. Mughals and Turks were barbaric they had no respect for enemy and by hook or crook defeated Indians. So war rules were not in favour to us. But public survived somehow as Indian had tolerance.
