Jasmine and Vance embrace an enthusiastic perspective of living in the moment. This despite a result of her terminal illness diagnosis at 12, and a cancr diagnosis in 2019. Jasmine was not expected to live past her third decade, but has defied the odds and is still going strong at 46.
Vance admits it was the cancer that brought him to his knees, but he considers her debilitating condition of Friedrich’s a gift to them both. While their friends are saving for retirement, this couple has a unique perspective. They “fly by the seat of their pants” as they have no guarantee of tomorrow. They have travelled to many places in the world and are active volunteers wherever they go. At home or abroad, Vance cheerfully faces his dual role of caregiver and spouse. For Jasmine, life is not easy, but she maintains her sense of humour and is always eager to embrace their next adventure.
