Masai warriors dressed in bright red, spears in hand, are an impressive sight to behold. Calm and fearless in dangerous situations, this tribe is renowned for being extraordinary trackers, with generations of knowledge about their land and wildlife. As semi-nomadic pastoralists, they still make a living by herding cattle and goats.While other Kenyan tribes have adapted to modern day living, and sacrificed their land and their livelihoods, the Maasai still cling to their traditions. Basically the indigenous people of Kenya have more than fifty sub-tribes. The Maasai are one of the few tribes that have managed to retain much of their heritage, and keep their culture alive. It didn't come easy though.
