Bill Johnson talks about the value of delay and how God uses delayed answers to prayer. We like the outcomes and the breakthroughs, but God values the journey. In seasons of waiting and delay, God is actually shaping our hearts and character in such a way as to form us into people who will steward well the breakthroughs when they come. Delays bring to the surface areas of our lives in which we don’t yet fully trust God. God allows these things to come up never to shame us, but to invite us into greater healing and freedom. It is in the journey that we become strengthened in the Lord and confident of His goodness.
