It's such a shame John Logan was forced to say that it was always supposed to end after three seasons. Logan intended on five seasons altogether. Josh Hartnett had said Logan had told him season four was going to be mostly set in Egypt with him and the character of Ferdinand Lyle in tow. The cast and crew were told midway through shooting season three that Showtime had cancelled the show, hence why everything was so rushed as a lot had to be rewritten. So many new characters were introduced that went nowhere. Brilliant show though. Great video!

No.think he intended to ended after 3 seasons. I don't care if I like characters or not, but of course I had a few faves in this series. I didn't like how last episode felt rushed. But till that point I thought this was most well done mashup of classic lit characters. I was surprised I actually didn't mind fact they did dracula as a fallen angel. At least we have enough stuff to write really interesting fanfics with, it wasn't like rest of horror genre how once monster is gone you don't have much story left to tell. I should prolly warn if read comics, original opinions of characters in show may or may not change. I liked comics too though

I did appreciate that Dracula knew the werewolf was destined to kill him, so the only way to win was to make sure the fight never happened. If Dracula gave in to his pride, and tried to show his superiority in battle, somehow he would lose. This makes him a lot smarter and more terrifying than a lot of villains. He is playing to win and if that means he has to run away, so be it. He will play the coward if it means in the long run he gets to destroy the world.

I love this show. I've already rewatched it about 2 or 3 times. Kinda want to rewatch it again.

You should be very proud for what you've done with your channel - you've made a world as deep as the lore you cover. Keep it up - by the time you run out of Vampires you'll have the youtube skills to make anything else interesting :D

Makes sense. In some folklore it is said that Dracula is based off of Lord Upyr( the first documented vampire in written history). That studied under the Devil at the magic school of Sholomance.

Love this show! They made the right call ending it when they did but i still wish they would have continued with spin offs (instead of city of angels which had nothing to do with the original show ). I love the idea of a shared universe of this classic victorian era gothic horror fiction characters Also, would you be willing to make a video about the other supernatural creatures in this show? Werewolves, witches ( day walkers and night comers) and the immortals created by dr. Frankenstein

I wish they would've kept this showing going, and the other penny dreadful it's about Los Angeles in the 1930's 2018. I know they could've kept this show running but for some reason they didn't, but they are playing it as we speak on CraveTV on Showtime channel at 9pm but we are already on the 2016 season and 4 episodes in, I kno its only for a few episodes. Thanks for the content. 👌

Loved the scene where the 2 werewolves kicked the crap out of a huge number of vampires.

Kind of a bummer they didnt continue with this story in some capacity in the second season. I get they wanted new characters and to make it like an anthology, with each season being a closed story, but I think it would have been interesting to tie Lucifer and Dracula to the new season some how since they have a demon in the show and Santa Muerta. Like why not play on the lore you built that was so great about the first series.
