Avarti's video on Harkon: bit.ly/2mgb297 Let's delve into the history of Vampires in Skyrim and the events that surround them. Social Medias: Twitter - bit.ly/2xxKzGF
The reason clan volkihar doesn't seem strong enough to take on armies and everything Tamriel can throw at them is simply cause Bathesda had no way to truly show just how ridiculously strong vampire lords are or that Volkihar would of no doubt had their own armies and every kind of abomination from the darkest depths of coldharbor. Go play the vampire faction in total war warhammer and you'll get an idea of just how unimaginably dangerous the volkihar would be if they declared all out war on Tamriel... Honestly it would be an apocalypse scenario where hundreds of thousands would die as civilians are slaughtered and nightmarish battles unfolded all over the land. But one thing Bathesda got right is that only the Dragonborn would have even a slight chance of defeating harkon considering that lore wise he'd pretty much be a demigod and only another demigod with the Gods on their side could take him down.

I always knew each and every Volkihar Vampire was inherently powerful, but they lacked the numbers in Skyrim to show us what they're truly capable of lore-wise. Thing is, Harkon spent centuries searching, and not really expanding, placing his hope into a hit and miss outcome, which is exactly why his faction's numbers dwindled.

@@thexith I definitely think his numbers would be dwindled by the time of the dragonborn but he'd still have thousands because considering he was a king no doubt would have turned all of his soldiers and since he is Molag bal's chosen he would get all the support Coldharbor could offer and that would include some of Molags greatest dremora generals and warriors as well as all the endless abominations that roam his realm. Plus Harkon would have an absolute fortune and his castle wouldn't just consist of a few areas but of many which would store every kind of vampire, magical weapon, artifact, thralls, blood storage; and strategic positions where vampire soldiers and mages could rain down hell on anybody trying to breach the castle. Oh yeah also considering he has a coastal castle he'd have war ships and a lot of them. I'm telling you lore wise Skyrim would be really screwed without the dragonborn who is a literal avatar of a god and would have limitless power just like Harkon would and the clash between the two would be like the battle of the titans.

I love how harkon literally says eternal darkness... yet the bow is only able to make it dark for 24 hours and is able to be switched on and off using the elder scrolls 🤣🤣🤣

Lmao, pretty flawed game design on Bethesda's since they had to balance it, but I reckon Harkon would've used it in a much more sinister manner or with a more religiously defiling technique.

@@hoboknight5349 You have me intrigued, the Dragon Cult and Ancient Nordic ways of life are one of my favourite pieces of lore ever! Thank you once again for the compliment! ❤
