Street Historian John Schelp connects people with the importance of Durham's historic, architectural and cultural places through his collection of vintage postcards. John shows us his collection and takes us on a tour of Durham, starting at "the ridge, " where most landmarks are found -- from Erwin Mills and Trinity College in the West, to Durham Hosiery and Golden Belt in the East.
Schelp's postcards send us back in time to see Durham’s cotton mills, tobacco factories, colleges, hospitals, City Hall, County Courthouse and earliest shopping districts.
