After dabbling with 4-5 gram doses of mushroom I decided to go all in, away on holiday in Wales I starved myself for 24hrs. I did 8grams of dried mushrooms with lemon juice that I'd left to breed for an hour, I then topped up with a huge 5 gram fresh mushroom. All I can really say about the trip is I lost all feeling of myself, I revisited some very deep emotional hurdles in my life and I was convinced I would never get back to reality, I fact at several points I was praying to see reality again and realising that however mundane reality appears it is a complete privilege to be part of it. I also felt lonelyness like no other, I went through all my loved ones in my head and could feel what it would be like when they have gone. Visually I saw trees dancing in a cartoon like motion, the sky was dancing and I could see deep into the clouds all whilst feeling an overwhelming recognition that there are several dimensions, several realities and a meaning that I could not figure out. This being the meaning of life. It was an absolutely profound experience that lasted four hours but felt like an eternity. Once back in reality I thanked the higher forces for returning me there, I text and called familly members and told them how much I love them. The whole experience was amazing but also very sobering, on the up side I've learnt how to live in the moment again, depression is a thing of the past and the connection I feel to earth is stronger than I ever imagined.

Just a quick note to those who haven't taken a psychedelic before and may not be aware: You also FEEL these visuals. I never knew that before my first mushroom trip, which made it quite unsettling and overwhelming (for the first 30-45 mins). You will settle into it if you're the sort who jives well with the compound, but it's very much worth knowing before you dive in. The visual phenomena are more than just visual. Are you ready to feel the drift, the melting, the geometry, or even the entities/3D spaces? If not, maybe don't jump into this stuff yet, but that's not a hard and fast rule either. Just know you'll be in for a VERY strange, and possibly profound experience. Safe travels!
@invanorm

Exactly, many people don’t realise this before going in. I try to tell people that what the drug does to the visual sense it also does to every other sense, and not in a way that is simply a distortion of what could be thought of as the “outer” world, but the inner as well, such that there really is no escape from the experience.

This was pretty accurate depictions based on my experiences. My last trip was by far the deepest down the rabbit hole I've gone. I saw the most wild fractal geometry with so many glyphs and sigils as to be almost meaningless. I also had 3-5 entities talking to me at one point but I don't remember what we said. At my highest point, I felt like I knew everything I ever wanted to know and not only that, but also that I had imagined my entire existence and also that I've been at the point I was at before. It was honestly so crazy that I forced myself to forget most of it on my comedown so as to maintain my sanity
@Pipsqwak

I found that it took quite a high dose of psilocybin mushrooms to get beyond mild visual distortion and intensifying of colors (I especially noticed that green was very intense - all plants and trees looked incredibly brilliant and detailed) to actual geometric hallucinations. My geometric hallucinations only occurred with my eyes closed and consisted of electrically brilliant lavender, blue, yellow, and red paisley-like patterns seemingly lit up by a brilliant light from the upper right visual field. These would disappear when I opened my eyes and real surroundings would take on a rippling, wave-like distortion. What I was really after was ego dissolution and transcendence. That was far more important than the visuals, fantastic as they were.

@@Pipsqwak I feel like only scary trips can cause ego dissolution. And from my experience it is not as good as people make it out to be. For me, it kicked off after I was certain I was dying after hours of panick over feeling like im going to die an shaking from being so scared I somehow fell asleep. When I woke up everything felt fake. Like a dream but without the confusion. You know its reality but it doesn't feel like it. People looked like they were apart of a movie like they had a purpose to be where they are at the time like background characters in movies how they seem to belong, while I was just there. I saw the world in a 3rd person type of view. Not literal 3rd person but the feeling of it, or like im just watching my days go by as if I was stuck in someone else body and im just observing or on autopilot its hard to describe. Sometimes Id have a couple seconds where it felt like I zoomed back into reality, in the present, and that I was me and not on autopilot then itd be ripped away from me where Id go back into the dream like state of mind and on autopilot. This lasted for a few years I hated it then one day I zoomed back into the reality state of mind and stayed, i was back in the moment and not feeling like an observer, it was actually a very scary experience but sometimes I miss it. Its very weird. Side note: Im not sure if this was even ego dissolution\death or just a form of ptsd from the bad trip, but to me I since I didn't even feel like I was person and just a consciousness observing I call it ego death and if it is actually ego death I dont understand why people would be chasing it. I said I sometimes miss it, but only for about a day not something Id want to experience everyday for years like I did.

I have been blessed to have experienced every type of vision you detailed in this video. I always tell people there are two types of highs when using a psychedelic. There is tripping (everything in the video before geometric) and psychedelic ( most in your video after geometric). People try it at a lower dose and trip, then decide to take more next time and are not always ready for what a full blown psychedelic experience has to offer. It really can be like nothing you have ever seen or experienced before.

VERY WELL DONE !! This was a free, controlled, pleasant LSD flashback. You really hit the nail on the head. I'd say, "But what about..." then you'd say "breathing." And describe it perfectly, when it happens & why, & how to shake it off. One thing I find is missing from current psyche discussions is the exclusion of the "Bad Trip." We did everything we could to avoid this: dosing in a group, having an inexhaustable supply of "fry" toys (visual enhancers, kaliedoscopes, prisms, etc), PMA. But all of my friends that stopped trippng can remember that one time, sht went downhill & they couldn't stop it. That's why I stopped. If you're gonna try it, I reccommend 4th of July or any fireworks display time, and Halloween, masks & facial makeup + costumes = a great time !! Easily the best description I’ve seen; these really are the visuals you see. A lot of people don’t talk about the more important part of a trip, though, being mindset. Once you’re in an intense trip, the visuals really become second hand to the most impactful part, which is what you’re thinking. That’s why it’s unexplainable. These visuals seem cool (and they are), but it’s the feelings they evoke and tell you that make the trip so beautiful.

I completely agree with you. In my opinion the most important and significant effects which psychedelics induce are the cognitive effects or more specifically, the therapeutic and transpersonal cognitive effects. I remember the first time I smoked weed with my friends when I was probably 14, and I got very minimal but noticeable visual effects. The best way I could describe it then was like a movie. It seemed to be closest described in this video as drifting. It was more like the image burning into my head as I looked away, like the image outline and details would stay for a second as I looked away. I just remember us standing outside looking around, and I saw this happening, it was my notifier to be like “okay, you’re definitely high now.” This being my first time smoking or getting high, it was certainly different but didn’t make me anxious or concerned at all, it was pretty cool. The way the image would stay in my view as I looked at something else was fascinating, especially for never experiencing it before, even crazier that I only smoked weed to get to that point. Makes me think about how much weed has changed over the years. I don’t even like to smoke now bc I usually get a bad high, more mentally straining, it’s like trying to focus and enjoy the high but a constant string of thought or sentence is going on in my head, and I can’t do anything else, it sucks. I miss those first times back in 2016/2017, smoking purp and og kush, it was so much more simple but I seemed to get more actually high rather than this state of constant thinking and not-so-fun experience I get now. RIP 2016 purp, you will be missed

In my experience the entities witnessed are autonomous however the “wisdom” they lead towards hints at it all being illusory. So yes you may sit face-to-face with some altruistic being during a psychedelic trip, but they are no more real than the people you interact with daily. I’ve dabbled with DMT over time and now find the experience has both visually and intuitively evened out. In the end I drifted from atheism to Taoism because what’s described in the Tao Te Ching was consistent with experimentation. Some may only get a few opportunities to try these substances due to availability or the inevitable fear that prevents any desire to dig too deep - as a result individuals can fall into a trap of projecting faux spirituality onto their personal identity... these generic hippy beatniks (apologies for lack of a better description) have missed the message. Cosmic mama doesn’t want you to join a movement or get her image tattooed on your back. Just sit still and be content.

I've said for years that mushrooms (especially) are what I call a... personal mythologiser. As higher cognitive functions are reduced/altered, time collapses into an endless now, in which anything you're thinking about in the moment become THE MOST IMPORTANT THING you've ever thought about. Because the semiotic / potency of the symbols your brain uses to perceive reality goes into overdrive. Not only are things important but they're also CONNECTED and the things they're connected to are also REALLY IMPORTANT. I'd also argue that they don't really break down ego structures. I actually think they enhance them. I, myself, am a staunch atheist and my belief in mushrooms is that they toggle things on and off in the brain and nervous system. That's it. When I trip, even tripping hard, I just end up thinking really deeply about neural architecture, semiotics and art. I imagine if you're of a more spiritual bent, the experience will be very otherworldly and transcendent. That's fine. But I don't think shrooms dissolve any existing ego structures. The beneficial effects seem to be a sort of hyper-accelerated therapy in the brain. Rather than getting caught up in higher function anxieties the brain processes things on a more emotional level and very quickly. It's like setting your brain to monkey counsellor mode for four hours.

Spot on . The only thing I experienced not mentioned was once in the crystal clear stage a object totally shift position like it was moved entirely by invisible hands and I was like woo . Some really freaky shit can happen visually when tripping. I’ve pretty much experienced it all at one time or another. Unfortunately we cannot replicate the thought process and I for me that’s the most important one . The epiphanies and self actualisation associated with collective consciousness and astral projection which I’ve gotten along with perceived telepathy. Those all occurred on heavy doses . Unfortunately we just can’t replace the internal transformation that can happen on a trip . For me they were life changing occurrences. But boy your work on this video really helps to rekindle them . Great work. In my fractal phases btw I’d always see a kaleidoscope of patterns much like ❄️ snow flakes They were more geometric and would only last a few minutes but I’ve gone back to tripping just for that alone as a post note .

Then a weird abstract shape started flopping and dancing around and I could feel the way it was shaped and knew how it felt when it moved. Truly mind boggling stuff

I've actually had geometry hallucinations when I am extremely tired and I close my eyes, the eigengrau background of my vision becomes fractals and shapes that constantly shift into different shapes and as I perceive a certain shape or entity it begins shifting into something else entirely

This is called a hypnogogic hallucination. Hypnogogia is the state you are in between being awake and asleep. I get hypnogogic hallucinations quite often I'll close my eyes to take a nap in the middle of the day then I start experiencing intense CEVs and I cant even open my eyes.

I've had a number of experiences on psychedelics. The video seems to imply that each experience is like this and that everything a person looks at offers what is shown. For me, it was only if i focused on a particular object or pattern that I experienced this. Most of it is physical. You have an awareness of an altered state. But it isn't all visual. Trails, distortions, and movement are all pretty common. But a lot of it depends too on how much you've taken and your sober state of mind before hand. If, for example, I find myself in the restroom during a trip, I'm not distracted by other people or music or whatever is going on outside the bathroom. I'll often see the shower curtain move, patterns in wall paper or floor tile, and I avoid the mirror. Water and soap feel more intense too. I have had the geometric shapes behind closed eyes. Funny how this particular patterning seems universal with psychedelic experiences. And each trip has included trails along with physical rushes or shivers. It's only when someone takes a great deal of the drug that the hallucinations can become scary or intense. Otherwise, it's fairly easy to know the difference between a pattern in something is actually a face or just a pattern forming a face. Taking too much is never a good idea, I believe.

I have done DMT maybe 20 - 30 times in 4 years. All trips are individually designed and different. Once. I did it in the dead of night / complete darkness in the middle of a grass field. Eyes closed to begin. When I opened my eyes. I could 100% see everything as though there was a full moon - midnight sun. When the trip ended. I again required my flashlight to make my way back to the camp site. Makes you think about what we might actually be capable of. Peace & love.

Brilliant descriptions and visual examples of different hallucinatory states, a lot of which I experienced in the 80,s with LSD, Mescaline and mushrooms, after a lot of dabbling back then I wouldn’t be up to it now, I don’t feel that I would learn anything new without higher doses and that scares me, I had one episode with mushroom that left me feeling completely paralysed for what I still believe was a couple of hours with complete 3d external hallucinations that included witches flying around my room but it was the fear of being paralysed for the rest of my life that made me more careful with mushroom dosages!!

With psilocybin, I have experienced flowing when looking at wood grain, or even at the hair on my arms -- though, looking at my tabby cats' fur, it doesn't flow, rather just looks especially vivid, detailed and beautiful. My test for whether or not I'm under the influence has become staring at the towel on its rack in my bathroom: if the pile appears to move, like a mass of squirming worms, then I know I'm under; if it's just larger areas appearing to shift somewhat, I know the effect is fading; once, instead of the pile squirming, the entire towel appeared to move some inches from left to right, which was surprising. Some of my strangest visuals were on my first trip: a potted plant appearing twice as tall as it really was, slowly shrinking back to normal size over time; scenes outside the window appearing two-dimensional, as if they were just a painted backdrop of a stage set; purple paisley patterns floating up some inches from the carpet; bright salmon-orange and blue dots zipping along cords in the white rug under my feet; a sort of purple haze in front of my therapist's face (is this what Jimi Hendrix meant?...!); the restroom walls changing color, sometimes every few seconds. On the second trip, besides the flowing wood grain, my daughter's face looked wider than usual, and had a kind of stylized effect that reminded me of Japanese Animé. On the fifth trip, walking outside, the grass looked more vividly colored and somehow vibrant.

Geometry I pretty much experience only with my eyes closed. It's almost always completely abstract: nothing representational or symbolic. One exception has been, in a few trips, seeing what appears to be lettering, in a style similar to the lettering that visionary artist Allyson Grey has seen in her trips -- except that her version is in block letters, whereas mine is always italic!

Update: I had a psilocybin trip two days ago in which I finally experienced geometry with my eyes open. I had been seeing it with my eyes closed, and then when I opened my eyes, the patterns and colors that I had been seeing were infused into the objects in my environment: wooden floor, wall paneling, furniture...

If any of you guys are dealing with grief from loosing someone, or a pet you loved... Psychedelics are a great way to visit them in their realm of consciousness. Death is not the end. In fact death is just the beginning of a transformative process. Your loved ones have transformed into the highest state of consciousness which can be achieved only partially by taking these psychedelic compounds. Take it.. And you will visit the realm in which your loved ones currently inhabit. You will feel their presence, but you won't understand it. But trust me.. They understand it because they are much much higher than your physical brain can comprehend.
