@@Noumm It is real life. People can whine about whatever the term is, but it's not a new concept or a new action. Joan of Arc got majorly “canceled”. So yeah, I’m cool with the system we have now 😂 People are so dramatic nowadays. “OMG y’all cancel everything good” no. They hide behind popular teen things to market towards them. Certain skits, pranks, merch, video games etc that a lot of teens are into is how they get them as an audience. It's a psychological thing, as Amanda mentioned, parasocial connections. Most companies do this(pop singers' companies too), but this squad and Logan Paul/his cronies take advantage. As well as use them to hurt people and get away with it. Teens still aren't mentally mature enough to see past this and not make excuses for them unfortunately.

It's not explicitly targeted at teens. Dobrik just knows teens watch so makes sure the content appeals. Technically speaking kids should not be on KZitem without parents consent. I always know that when I find a video entertaining/addictive but somehow can't bring myself to watch more of their stuff that there's a reason that my brain just doesn't agree with their personalities and I'm subconsciously getting toxic vibes. It's weird. Trust your intuition. I always thought Liza was annoying but I always heard so much bs about how she was sooo funny and soooo cool (mainly by other KZitemrs who were close with her or looking for clout) Also, a lot of the vlog squad videos just reminded me of the self-obsessed toxic popular kids at high school who would disrupt class and try to come off as super close and really cool but had some weird-ass drama on the inside. as someone who dropped the vlog squad ages ago, i don't think any fans can pretend like they didn't think these things were going on behind the scenes. the overall shittiness of their actions (spread through the videos on david's channels) was there in plain sight. not a single fan, ex or current, can claim that they had no idea the vlog squad was sus as hell. yeah, those fans can say that david packaged these horrible situations in a pretty little package, but i know i was constantly scratching my head as i watched. there was sewage seeping through the cracks and so many fans tried to ignore it because he's a rich white guy. this just speaks about a much larger issue that the internet has birthed, where people put all of their mental well-being into celebrities/influencers and refuse to acknowledge their wrongdoings. they cite "hyperfixations" and "depression" on clinging to these problematic white people. they refuse to ever give up these people they don't even know and who don't give a damn about them. unless this hivemind culture in fandoms is abolished, then people like the vlog squad will continue to be successful.

I legitimately don’t know one person who watches them, no one in my circle for sure. His content is disgusting plus I can’t handle the constant fake laughing in all his videos.

I'm getting sick of people making Trisha Paytas this angel now. I'm not discrediting the things she went through, but people act like she doesn't have a jacked up past as well. A broken clock is only right twice. I don't even think she's apologized for the things she has done. People wanna give redemption arcs to people who aren't even attempting to change or acknowledge the shitty things they've done or are still doing.

I know! It’s upsetting that KZitem won’t allow people to say what they want. I’m actually convinced that they want this to be a kids app. Because it seems like they’re the only ones getting money and attention. And also the way they won’t let you say RAPE & SEXUAL assault and a bunch of other words that aren’t even swears. And they demonetize black KZitemrs for saying the N-word, but they will keep white people saying the N-word up.

This whole situation reminds me of those guys in high school who continued to hang out with other guys that are known to rape girls at parties and shit but the "innocent" guys still hang out with them bc the rapists sell weed or have been their friend since 6th grade " well they've never done anything to me so I gotta stay loyal."
