He had been battling prostate cancer & had hip surgery & his wife sharon had recently suffered a stroke & had hip surgey as well. The sirius xm airwaves won't be the same without him. I pray for strength for sharon, his kids, grandkids, great grandkids & many friends and associates. "Boomer" has unfortunately been called home 😢😢😭😭!! This is why i am just happy & feel blessed everytime that god opens my eyes & i can see another morning/day; because you just never know!! #R.I.P. TO THE BLACK EAGLE

Encouraging African-Americans to consider withholding their votes in presidential elections until reparations are received is a powerful and thought-provoking idea. "Let us recognize the incredible strength and influence of our collective voice. For centuries, African-Americans have fought tirelessly for justice, equality, and recognition of our fundamental rights. Today, we stand at a critical juncture in our history, where we have the opportunity to demand the acknowledgment of past injustices and the implementation of long-overdue reparations. By exercising our right to vote strategically, we can send a resounding message to the nation and the world: that we refuse to accept the status quo any longer. We can use our voting power as a tool for change, insisting that our political leaders prioritize the issue of reparations. Our unity and determination can compel those in power to address the legacy of slavery, segregation, and systemic racism that continues to impact our communities today. Imagine the impact of millions of African-Americans coming together to demand reparations as a prerequisite for our support in presidential elections. Our collective stance would reverberate across the political landscape, igniting conversations, debates, and, ultimately, action. By leveraging our voting power in this way, we can demonstrate that we will no longer settle for empty promises or superficial gestures. Let us remember the trailblazers and activists who paved the way for our rights and opportunities. Let us honor their legacy by using our votes as a force for change, a demand for justice, and a catalyst for progress. Together, we can inspire a new chapter in our nation's history, one that acknowledges the painful truths of our past and paves the way for a more equitable and inclusive future. Our decision to withhold our votes until reparations are addressed is a declaration of our worth, our dignity, and our unwavering commitment to a fair and just society. It is a call to action, a rallying cry for accountability and reparative justice. Let us stand together, empowered by our history and driven by our vision for a better tomorrow. Our votes are not just ballots; they are instruments of change, and we will use them to shape a future that reflects our values, respects our experiences, and honors our resilience."copy paste and share.

Dr. Joe Madison cultivated my political knowledge with a refinement that could only originate from a place of wisdom. His lifetime of civil rights engagement and social justice activism was given to all of humanity as a gift for us to glean from and then replicate. Joe Madison also known as: The Black Eagle was a phenomenon, we were privileged to encounter and enjoy his presence during his journey here on this side of living. I will miss my four hour daily indulgence with him by listening to his show on Sirius FM early in the morning before sunrise and acquiring more political consciousness and social justice agency. Rise and soar Black Eagle, spread your wings and fly.🦅

Remember as Joe reminded us that usually during the 9 O- clock hour some trumpster trying to be slick would reveal who and what their all about. We'd live for that moment when Joe would cuss them the hell out. We'd often laugh till we cried 😢 as Joe got so excited he'd be stuttering triping over words. He was so genuine and we loved him soo much for being so real.

Remember as joe shared in his book"Radioactive" as a two year old boy, he and his baby sister were both abandoned by their parents. His grandparents found him alone, struggling to change his baby sisters diaper. 😢 A man who played college football and was discouraged by coaches to not be active in college political activism, for the advancement of black Americans

I love Joe Madison as if he was an elder in my family. I love The Black Eagle was a family man who loved his family! He loved his coworkers Darryl, Sam and Nick who he said worked closely around the clock…Theres a huge gaping hole on Urban View and I don’t know how they recover from his passing! The Black Eagle was the bridge between the elders from the civil rights movement to the present. I learned so much and read many of the books he recommended. May God Bless Joe’s family and he will be truly missed….The Eagle has landed 🦅

I admired this man so much since i was a child. I was a kid that loved to listen to talk radio on our little AM station 1480 WSAM. My uncle used to let me help him pass out fliers supporting the UAW and Voter registration. He inspired me to pursue a career in public policy (BS), public administration (MPA), Education (Ed.D). I loved the phrase "put it where the goats can get it". Its been my passion as an activist to this vey day. Thank you Black Eagle for your service to the community. Your voice will be missed but never forgotten.
