Traditionally, the laureates concert is one of the highlights of the VP!
A group of young musicans from all over the world, just a week ago still complete strangers to each other, performs together as a brand new community of artistic friends. This year, for the first time in the history of the VP, this special concert took place at the Agriturismo Fattorie Inghirami - a home game. We decided to go all the way and transform our concert into an immersive experience for both audience and musicians.
Upon arrival, our guests were welcomed by an Angel of music (Hope Cramsie), our musical guide through the grounds where behind every corner we were surprised and delighted by the gorgeous performances of our laureates - Edoardo Gatta, Aurora Orsini, Yohrind Ramesh Naidu, Marija Rasic, Chrysostomos Tzevelekos, Chiara Corriero and James Toomey-Wilson .All of this in the magical glow of a glorious Tuscan sunset, well... needless to say that it was an evening full of profound emotion over so much beauty, masterfully captured by Cedric Honings and set to the tones of Brahms beautiful Theme & Variations (live recording by Antigoni Goni and Maarten Vandenbemden)
Thank you to all students and staff ❤ Michèle Swennen, Luca Isolani, Gianluca Reggiani, Martha Masters, Giampaolo Bandini, Michele Rosa-Clot!
