She has excellent delivery and it's refreshing to hear a singer with personality instead of cookie cutter caterwauling.

Very well said, what Patti lacks in vocal range she more than makes up for in onstage charisma and energy

I got to see The Waiteresses open for Oingo Boingo here in Kansas City in the 80's and man, you couldn't have found two more underrated bands at the time. I had both Waiteresses' albums and the great "Christmas Wrapping" ep and loved all of their witty, frenetic music. Wish more people had gotten into them back in the day. They were so much fun...

Good rest to you, Mars Williams. Thanks for posting this. I'd never heard a live cut of this until now, and it's a killer version.

Patty was not really the greatest of singers, but she could simply do her thing and simply captivate people. I never once seen her over expose herself, yet was very sexy, and never even tried to be.....

brings back a lottt of memories, of college radio in the early 80s... i remember a live bar show in columbia missouri, and the sax player had lots of funny little horns, like even a plastic one i think. i think this is ralph carney, not mars williams, but not sure....

What the freak! Yet another great 70s/80s group who really need a belated comeback of some kind while we're going through a sort of revival of 80s groups and by several comments on here it looks like that's sort of impossible because their lead singer is dead. What the heck God?? Why do so many awesome bands lose their front man or front woman or some other pivotal member. And don't tell me that's just rock and roll.
