The Walter Winchell show is a simulcast television broadcast of his radio show. It is something to see as he broadcasts news and gossip while clicking his trademark Morse Code keys. The news seems to indicate a 1953 date, as he refers to "coming up" of the "Las Vegas nuclear test conducted 3/17/53. There is a studio audience who includes Barbara Stanwick, Richard Widmark, Jean Peters, and Mitzi Gaynor. They sit there expressionless and are only shown briefly. Winchell looks into the camera to speak to "Mr. and Mrs. United States" and warns of the Russian threat. "Beware of the red olive branch, It's poison Ivy". Historical TV moment in time. The voice of the "Untouchables" in his true form. Complete with commercials for Gruen Precision watches. Transferred from a 16mm kinescope film.
