Meanwhile, in an alternate reality called “The Present”, The Warning have released multiple new albums and have grown immensely in stature and performing prowess. Good, fair reaction and some nice explanations in there too. I could suggest a bit of mitigation on the crowd interaction as having seen some other footage from this show the crowd were pretty comatose until the end, almost like they’d turned up for a regular lecture!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind walking down The Warning nostalgia path once in a while, but whoever in TWA (I assume) is requesting these oldies, is really doing the band a disservice IMO. DH has not even reacted to all the songs on the Error album , much less any of Keep Me Fed. The sisters have moved way past this with their music and their recent live performances are next level; it would be nice if some of the OG fans would move on too.

I agree, it seems there some strange reaction requests for the band as children. How about people at least get into the current decade with their requests? There is an entire new album of material from 2024 that people could be request, rather than songs that the band has long dropped from their catalog.
@conrad98gtp

I 100% agree. The lengths of time in between the reactions that D.H. reacts to The Warning, it would serve the band much better to react to the latest live performances. Some fans can't seem to get past suggesting these ancient performances. I'm guessing they are also making donations to have these reviewed. Suggest the newer stuff for the better sake of the band.

Hi David my first time viewing your channel. I stopped by because I love "Exterminated". I had to stop at 13:57 to subscribe and say you are a lot of fun, especially when you pilled out your bass. I am subscribed to about ten reactors but I will be back here often because I have been looking for analyses of The Warnings music kind of like "What makes this song great". A few suggestions: "Shattered Heart", interesting middle part between Ale and Dany. "Show Me the Light," beautiful bass sounds almost like fretless. Beautiful solo from Dany. "Runaway"" cool ending. "Survive" great show from Pau. I have all 4 albums but listen to XXIst Century Blood" the most. I have made CDs of their live shows of this album at the "Dakota Bar" and Whisky A GoGo for my car because they sound so good live. Also "Atlas Rise at The Whisky" is excellent. Ok back to finish the video now.

David is the Gold Standard of reactors because he back's up his comments with well thought out explanations that are based on knowledge gained from real world experience not just "I like this, please like-n- subscribe-n-buy my merch" which it seems is all that most all the other reactors can come up with. And not just for The Warning but for every review he does! That's called integrity!

This video was extricated from their January 2016 TEDx Talks presentation st the University of Nevada-Reno, before a seated audience of academicians and students, to provide some context here. The original video of the entire presentation received very many views, prompting an invitation for them to return the following year. "Exterminated" was one of their very first compositions. It didn't make it onto their debut EP _Escape The Mind_ (2015), but it appeared later on their LP _XXI Century Blood_ (2017).

You can see a progresion in Danny´s voice and show performance during and after the pandemic. In that time she focus a lot in her singing lessons and you can see the results directly in songs like Choke. Not get me wrong she always sings very good but after the pandemic and the lessons she goes to another level. Good reaction and fair score, before you give it I think in a seven, it´s a good song but not the best of their first album if you compare to XXI Century Blood, Survive, Black Holes, Unmendable, Copper Bullets or When I´m Alone.
@balthusT1
3 күн бұрын
Hi DH - feelin' you to. Solid review, score and analysis. I get the whole comparison thing, and I would seriously love them (DPA) to revisit some of their older songs and 'modernise' them. Watching and listening to Survive (for example) from TEDX 2017 and Teatro 2022 shows the growth as performers. And that's one of the great things about Pepsi 2023 being slowly released (a track every few days) - seeing the growth from Teatro 2022 (and they are extremely good quality mixes and vids) - what a difference a year can make. (I sincerely hope you react to Black Holes, Breathe, and Dust to Dust/Dull Knives from Pepsi - hell, pretty much all of it 😄 at some time - watching Dany dance across the stage is something to behold, not to mention Ale's persona on full view, and **PAUCAM**) Not much else to say - seeing the progression from then to now is, as you say, something worth watching and hearing, though you can only really see it through two separate performances of the same song. Here, we (as you rightly state) predominately see Ale's metamorphosis into what will become Little Gene. Anyway mate - cheers from OZ - see you next time 🦘

Recently The Warning talked about their early songs and compared them to children drawing pictures for their parents. Yes, their newer works are so much more amazing as you pointed out. So...now do some reviews from their newest album (Keep Me Fed)? I have my favorites on those because some of them reflect things I lived through (like Hell You Call a Dream - working so hard to become a scientist and finding achieving the dream coming with it's own unexpected hell, but you live for the dream). As an aside, this is from their 2016 TEDx performance, it has 1.1 million views...it'll get you there. As a second aside, their second album 'Queen of the Murder Scene' is a masterpiece concept album (my opinion).

2016... First of two TEDx Talks at the University of Nevada. They had just been to Berklee's 2015 summer session, and had been busy working on their first album, *XXI Century Blood,* which includes this track. That whole album is very nice, and IMHO, there are some 8s and 9s and 6s and 7s on it. I agree with your 7.4 rating for this song, ± .3. That's fair. They were on their way. And yes, Ale was totally into it. Pau was totally into it. Dany would admit in their tenth anniversary video that she was really scared at times as a young performer, despite really wanting it. *Queen of the Murder Scene,* album two, was where they really hit their stride. Dany OWNED that queen character's bad side. (Pau took the good side.) They were playing that at the Mercury Lounge in NYC when Devon O'Connor of Lava "discovered" them and called Jason Flom to come out the next night and hear them again. Seven months later, they had a contract. The pandemic was both frustrating and a very good growth period for the band. The result was *Error,* and the two years of touring, writing, and recording that led to *Keep Me Fed.*

Obviously I can, and I do. They wanted to be professionals, they should be treated and held to the same standards as professionals. that way the get real world experience when it comes to things like rehearsals, stress, deadlines, expectations. Coddle them if you want, treat them with kid gloves and baby them, and they'll never go anywhere. The only people who have the right to be upset by that are the girls, and I don't see them complaining about it. So stop white-knighting, simping, and defending these "poor, little girls of yours", trust me they don't care about you defending them.
