All 3 of them have played piano from a very young age, and play it well. In this song she has him tied and locked in a room "I'll tie the rope" "lock the door" she is professing her love and is rejected. In a rage she kills him, the last quiet creepy lines are her speaking to the dead corpse.

*Stalker .... (Spoilers)* All 3 (Dany, Pau & Ale) learned classical piano before playing the RockBand where Dany played the guitar & Pau played the drums. Ale was to small to play but loved to watch her sisters. Both Dany & Ale learned the saxophone at school. Ale didn't master the sax. Dany still plays it. Don't read further Mike ..... *spoilers* . . . . . . . . . . . . . This is the song where the Queen is *"The Stalker".* The intro is where Queen has her *"lover"* tied up. She's singing to him with the last lyric *"You are mine".* At the end of the song. Dany "yells" several lyric words. That's when *"the queen murders her tied up lover with a thrust of a knife".* During the outro. The queen is singing to the dead corpse. The last lyric, at least to me, was *"You were mine".*

Hi Mike - new Sub here. I noticed you've missed 'The One' (track 4 and the end of Chapter 1) in your The Warning playlist - have you done that somewhere, and then accidentally removed it? If you haven't done it, then even if you don't want to go back and react, you really should hear it as it ties Chapter 1 and 2 together incredibly. The Queen is going from unrequited love to full on obsession, and Dany's vocals are the perfect emotion to the spiral to madness and is sometimes difficult to hear. I don't know if that was deliberate here (as Lunario was their 'release' of the full album and was changed later, or if it is, as you say, mixer error. I've subbed to a handful of reactors recently (reactors to The Warning - I did 30-40 reactions on Enter Sandman alone over 8 hours in 2 nights)- specifically those that also explain nuances (technical, vocal etc) where others might just say 'loved that' and finish . After your reaction to Dust to Dust, I thought 'Yeah - he has knowledge' and subbed. Lunario was 2018, Teatro Met was 2022 (I notice that you have a mixed playlist especially for the QotMS vids which shows their growth as performers - there is a 6 year gap and after watching the Lunario concert and then the Teatro Met (the songs that feature in both concerts), you can see the polish, the increase in confidence, and just how good DPA have become. I'm going to finish your reacts to QotMS

At the end of one of their concerts last year, they were play Evolve, which is their usually closer for their set. Pau was recording the show on what we all call Pau Cam, which is her phone set up behind her or off to one side. She does that to live stream the show, especially if the concert falls on a Saturday, which is Pau-Day for her to do a live stream for the fans. She lost her left stick about three bars from the end of the song. Within one beat she switched the right stick to her left hand and continued playing the remainder of the song with one stick plus using her bare right hand. It was pretty amazing to watch from that vantage. Of course, the audience at the venue never knew because she didn't miss a beat.

Your making great observations . They have a way of sucking you in when playing Live. The charisma they show on & off stage is instantly infectious. Dany slips into character for this entire performance, and with it being the debut, she really put a lot of hard work prepping for it. It paid off big time. The black lines you see on her hand and neck, was her last minute decision to add for a dramatic effect, of the battle unfolding on the stage. Besides you discovering that all of them play keys, and have many songs with it, you hit on subject of the Riffs. They understood at an early age that a good power Riff, stands out over a good solo, in the majority of peoples minds, when they recall a song. The "Keep it simple stupid" philosophy with power chord Riffs & tasteful solos for Dany's Guitar, has worked extremely well for them. Looking forward to the next installment! 🤘

Willie Deville (from Mink Deville) has a very similar attitude (' I traveled all around the country for a couple of years, looking for musicians who had heart, instead of playing 20-minute guitar solos, which is pure ego) - any solos in his tracks were there to further the track, not take away the track.

Stalker In Stalker, the Queen has her love trapped and is telling him how much she wants him. And it is not an option: she says “yes or no, whichever, I’ll have you someday”. The band said in their 12/18/2018 Patreon live chat that the murder (Pau says “the first murder”) occurs at the end of this song, in the last verse. Perhaps the object of her affection rejected her and she murdered him in a rage. In the chat, Dany says that “she is singing it to the corpse” when she says “you are mine” in the final verse, since he cannot now get away from her.

Love this song. Dany absorbs the role of murderous looney perfectly. And to avoid confusion down the road she actually kills to object of her obsession at the end. A few people figured it out on the first listen. It took me a while but avoids confusion further on where she's talking to someone, but it's her good vs bad side. Sounds like a spoiler, but since it's never directly obvious, it helps to know this to make sense of the rest.

In most cases, Paulina starts writing, comes up with a melody and some lyrics. Usually, The Warning songs start as power ballads on the piano, then all three rockify it. Per The Warning Vlogs, at the end of the song as Dany starts screaming "Love Me, Touch Me, Let Me in You Heart, the character is stabbing him with a knife

Mike, I'm really appreciating your journey and your attention to detail. IIRC, after Dany's piano intro she goes to put the keyboard on standby but mistakenly switched from clean to an effect. What we get is an outro that's actually even creepier than originally intended. One thing I love about their writing is the dissonance that you find in several of their songs...even the newer recordings. The atmospherics, etc., are incredible in setting the mood and the tone. This is dark, Edgar Allan Poe level poetry set to music and it's awesome.

Pau talks about her trouble holding on to and breaking drum sticks in her Masterclass. She attributed it to her playing style especially noting that she used her whole arm to play which was developed when she was very young to generate power. She also realized her playing style at that time would likely lead to injuries later in her career. Pau was well known for breaking sticks more than loosing them. She had the nickname “Animal” from her sisters referring to the Muppet’s drummer. Pau has worked on her drumming style over the years and she now plays with the same power but in a much more efficient manner. It is visibly obvious if you watch earlier performances compared to newer ones. If you watch their entire performance library you’ll notice that all 3 sisters have played keyboards onstage at various times throughout their touring career. The sisters stipulate that Ale is the most gifted player of the 3 but Pau probably plays the most. I totally agree with you that I love when Dany uses grit or aggression in her vocals. I also love her higher vocal belts.

It's been said officially that the girl's love interest is dead by the end of the song. My interpretation is that the intro is the girl confessing to her love interest, who rejects her as "crazy". The last of her sanity unravels as her anger builds, and the bursts of emotion in "LOVE me, TOUCH me," part match the thrusts of a knife as she butchers them. This was a crime of passion, the kind where the victim has dozens of stab wounds.

In the beginning Pau was well known for breaking sticks and just as well know for being able to grab another one without missing a beat, if yo get a change to watch their 2nd TedX talk performance in the song Survive you will see how see grabs a stick from the floor, before she had a stick holder. Also Lunario is still my favorite concert for Queen of the Murder Scene it is so raw and the flaws really add to the performance rather than take away from it. It was also done at a very high elevation and the girls found it very difficult to breathe, yet they still put on one hell of a show for 2 hours and poor Ale was utterly exhausted afterwards, yet she never stopped or missed a note, such professionalism and commitment is truly inspiring. As the others have pointed out this is the song where she kills the object of her desire just before the last verse. During the final verse she is talking to his corpse asking him to forgive her.
