You should make this for regular guitars too, not just bass. It would be a great aftermarket product.

It's my first time changing strings on my Corvette bubinga pro-series 6-string and after removing the stock strings, I noticed the JAN 3 nut seemed to removable and not fixed in place at all. Are the two poles the only things keeping the nut in place besides the tension from the strings?

Two questions -- One -- if you use Bronze frets, why not make the Nut Bronze as well? Why go for Brass? Bronze is a considerably harder metal than Brass. Two -- Do you make this for a six string guitar (Not Bass)?

The frets are "bell brass" not bronze.

Really smart solution. But missing possibility to set the guitar intonation (like Earvana compensated nut). What you think - is it possible to make something like Micro-Frets Micro-Nut?

Hi ! What's the biggest string gauge the brass 4 strings version can take ? I plan on getting a corvette and replacing the tedur nut with the brass one but I play in Drop B with a 115 gauge low string (that's light for a B, I already know this but I like the tone of a thin string) and would know if this will fit (whole string set is 55-75-95-115).

Hey guys, Hate to say it, but the older, (original) JAN appears to be a better choice for "individual" string height adjustment, especially when considering all the various fretboard radii out there. The original version would appear to also make the "aftermarket" slot filing unnecessary. Only concerns that I would have in regard to the original version are fivefold: 1. how fine a thread pitch are the individual notched height screws, 2. How accurate would the "break-off" point be for intonation when installed in a different manufacturer's instrument, 3. How "Tight" are tha threads to avoid slop when adjusted to a higher setting? 4. Are the threads "fine" enougt to allow a "minimal" amt. of adjustment per each 180deg of turning. 5. Are the threads, (assuming Brass?), strong enough to withstand string pressure, or "strip-off" over time?-------------Just some thoughts?------------Gb
