Hi Randy and Joy, great video as usual, love the tips and information. My wife and I are currently in Chiang Mai, staying at the Duangtawan Hotel, upon being highlighted in one of your previous videos; enjoying the pool, fitness center and location immensely - keep up the great videos!

Can you talk about mosquitoes, spiders, cockroaches in Thailand?
@RetiredGlobalLife
Жыл бұрын
I don't see more sliders and roaches in Thailand than the US, bur more mosquitos. There is less mosquitos in the rainy season as there is so much rain there is little standing water for them to breed in. Take care.

In Koh Samui, which month offers blue and calm beaches?
@RetiredGlobalLife

March and through July or August usually good. Sept to Nov is monsoon season so avoid them for sure. I'm not a Koh Samui expert though.

Hi Randy And Joy I hope you are both well! What’s Phuket like Mid November? Which month overall would you say is the best for sunny weather with clear blue skies especially good for diving and snorkelling? Regards Neil
@RetiredGlobalLife

I'm not a diver, just some snorkeling, but November to March is usually considered the best time, calm waters and less chance of rain, so I think you are coming at a good time. Have fun!

Great video , very informative thank you. Question… I’m looking at visiting Thailand in June going to Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Phitsanulok, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai & Hua Hin . Do you think the weather will be okay ?
@RetiredGlobalLife

No smoke issues then, past burning season, and it is the start of the rainy season in most areas, so unless you have the bad luck of some storms, you should have some cloud cover, not all day sun, not too hot, and some occasional rain usually. I like the rainy season.

Hi morning . We are going to those places in September. I know it a rainy season but how is it ??? Like in their lots of peoples how activities the weather like is it hot warm?? Like to get some idea. If you able to help .
@RetiredGlobalLife

Well the video tells you the usual temperatures and rain info for each region. Always less people in September, which is nice, but usually everyone is doing the same activities. I find the rainy season does not limit me, just get out of the rain for the hour or so it usually rains, then back to normal. Usually a nice cloud cover so not so hot. The only problem is if you have the bad luck to come during a storm during the rainy season, which can last days and keep you inside. Have a great trip!

Hi , thank you for the great information! We were thinking to visit Phuket in Nov , my husband wouldn’t like it rainy , do you think it’s too bad this year?
@RetiredGlobalLife

I think on average, November is a great month. It is the end of the rainy season. In some regions in Thailand it is the start of winter, whereas in Phuket most people see the rainy season as extending into November, before winter. so it's a crossover month. Joy and I travel all the time in November and think it is a good month to travel. I think a low chance of too much rain, and the odds are little rain, perhaps even none for days at a time. Best wishes.

I'll be there from October 17 - November 7. One thing about winter, hotel prices go up. I'm paying 17 bucks a night at SK House until November 1, when the price goes up to 19. Not complaining at all! Where else can you get a hotel room for under 20 bucks with a pool!

You were where in Thalland when it was burning in November? That is pretty unusual. Some burning may go even in non-birning season, but it is such small amounts it is not noticable.

Another great video! Just returned from a short visit to Chiang Mai and even in the rainy season so much to see and visit. The rainy season gives the temples and city a mysterious quality that isn't found in the other seasons, plus less people! Thanks for the informative content; not just the PR fluff!

Hi Randy, another good video.. question? Do you have a elite visa?? I am applying for one with your daughters agency, (very nice and helpful people). Not sure if I want to spend the money.. thanks Also am leaving San Diego today for 2 months in Thailand. Very happy to go again.

Haha, Mike, you will be coming as I have to return, so crossing paths. No, I don't have an Elite visa. The big perks are no airport lines and easy and out without immigration issues, but I an not a guy who travels all that much, other than between SD and CM. It will be interesting. how the new Elite visa does. I think for people under 50 or who like the benefits, the Elite visa was a great deal before the price increase.
