Like all top guitar manufacturers, Ibanez produces a wide price/product range. I purchased a RG550 Genesis after watching you demonstrate awhile back. But more recently purchased from Japan a RG6HSH, only in Japan. For 1000$, its similar to RG550, but no trem no pickguard, but locking tuners mahogany fret board, same neck same body same pickups….made in Japan,…J-Line, the price point for Ibanez.

When I first heard of the Victory reissue, I thought, "Why?" Now that I see it, I get it. The fact that they weigh in at around 7lbs, I can get behind it. While I agree that the Iguana Burst is the coolest color, I like the Gold Mist Satin finish. Since Gibson USA is currently making several models utilizing the Explorer headstock, I can see why they chose that over a Firebird style, as they save a lot of money by using a neck that's already in production. I think the Explorer headstock suits it well, if not historically accurate.

You and SWOLA are part of every Sunday for me. I really want the victory even tho the headstock is ugly, it’s a 25.5 scale and that’s one of the reasons I hate Gibsons is because of the 24.75 scale. And then add in the ebony fretboard, I need it.

Budget metal guitars with a fixed bridge? Hallelujah! Hopefully at some point they'll add some V and Ex style shapes to the lineup, seeing as how they're supposed to be for metal. But some of those look very tempting. Hopefully the quality will be consistent... As for the Ibanez, if someone wants a guitar at that price, they can have it. Personally, I think it's ludicrous. That thing literally costs more than my car. I understand that rarity confers value in people's mind, but come on... If you want a unique guitar to actually PLAY, you can get a handmade custom shop one for less than 15% of that price. These things are just wall art for hedge fund managers. The only one of these that'll ever see a stage, is the one that's going to Steve Vai, because unless you have roadies to guard it with their life, you're not taking that thing to the open mic night down your local, are you?

I tried the Soul Press II... the problem with this is that you cannot cycle through all the 4 modes. Meaning that the expression pedal is constantly engaged even when you use the wah/volume unless you unplug the cable from its connector port, which isn't ideal. It is indeed a 4 in 1 pedal, but you won't be able to use all those 4 modes in the same pedalboard you'll be able only to cycle among wah and volume mode... and what happens when you disengage the wah and the pedal switches to volume mode while soloing? That you may accidentally lower your volume down, which is also not great. If you use this in your studio instead, it's a whole different story obviously and it can be very versatile, but do you really need something to save up space in your studio, or wouldn't it be better to use individual pedals each fully designed for their intent?
