John Entwistle's bass work on this song is insane. I wish the cameras covered it more but instead - it's an absolute joy to watch the emotion in Roger as he sings the opening verses.

Same here. First time for me was 1997. Being a fan since 1981 there was no way to see them live. They just didnt tour Europe. Seen them about 10 times, this was the best. Although Pete's 1998 Shepherd's Bush Empire gig felt the most special.

I'd suggest this version is better than most versions they would have hypothetically performed prior to 2000. Townshend was a happy camper during this period. Starkey is a better drummer than Moon post-1975 and far superior to Jones.

This was one heckuva show from one who has seen the WHO, Roger or Pete at least 15 times. Had about 8th row and the crowd walked out stunned that human beings could play music at such an incredible high level of intensity and precision. The sound was perfect and John E's bass had the floor and seats shaking. GREAT SHOW. Then again, I have never seen a bad or average WHO show.

I always believed this song was underrated. One of the best songs Pete Townshend wrote. But then again I don't think I know of any bad songs Pete wrote. Roger is the perfect man to do Pete's songs. Guess that's why Pete has said that a few times. Roger is and has always been the perfect man for his songs.
