Just saw this on PBS. Blown away! Wasn't expecting much when Daltrey and Townsend walked on stage. Daltrey, stiff, shuffling a bit, Pete looking like a retired math professor. But absolutely kicked butt. With Ringo's kid on the kit. Some of the organ/synth parts sounded like a pre-recorded backing track, but at the end Townsend mentioned the two keyboard players. So does anyone know, was this totally live?

A friendly message to help you understand! They’re old, they were much better in their prime. A lot of fans go to concert simply because they love The Who so much or have loved The Who so long that their music, and especially the concerts mean a lot to them. A lot of people grew up on/with their music. They had a very dedicated following, pretty early in their career and they’ve never lost it lol. Their albums from the 60’s to 70’s are all certified classics and then there’s some good/not so good stuff after. I stand by the fact the best piece of music I’ve ever heard was Quadrophenia. Cannot recommend it enough if you genuinely want to see why people love The Who. You have to listen to the album start to finish, preferably in one sitting, to understand the story being told and hear how all the songs play off each other and incorporate elements while still being a fresh, new song. Amazing production and songwriting, and all 4 band mates played/sung the best they ever did. A truly amazing work of art that’s worthy of your time if you enjoy rock, hell even if you don’t. All of this meant nicely to help you understand why so many people love The Who so much, and no hard feelings if you don’t like them. I don’t like Led Zeppelin lol 🤷♂️
