A friend of mine gave me this tape nearly 40 years ago. It is what it is. All thanks to him for sharing it all those years ago.

Less than a month after their explosive performance at Monterey Pop. They sound powerful here. Thanks for uploading

When this show has been discussed in the past, it's been referenced by other shows like the later Village Theatre show from November that year. The actual audio from this July show has never circulated widely before.

I'm only on the 2nd song (Summertime Blues) and I hear a guitar that's most likely not gonna last much longer if Pete can't get it's tuning under control. LOL.

Yes, very comical to hear a time when musicians had to tune on the fly a few bars into the song!

Wow I can't believe the pristine audio. For a recording made 50 years ago, it sounds like it was made yesterday!

That's a generous observation relative to some early feedback received. Thank you for taking into consideration the age of the recording and the likely primitive consumer recording device used at the time (closer to 60 years ago). Those unaccustomed to hearing recordings of indeterminate origin can be caught off guard by the extreme low fidelity. We're here for anyone who's able to derive enjoyment from these, without being charged by some sordid seller of "rare imports" for the opportunity of doing so.

In due time after the dust settles... This is the fastest, broadest way to get a 56-year-old historical document out wide. Naysayers can listen to as little or as much of this as they want.

Listened to all of it myself, and I am quite pleased...sound quality is about what one should expect for 1967 audience recording...not bad at all. Thanks again

@@Bob-r9x7l Tapes? We have a vial of oxide flakes remaining. If you want to pass along Sir Paul's contact info, we'll ship to him pronto, and perhaps Giles can glue it all back together and transform it into a Dolby Atmos mix.
