2 weeks after i turned 17, I was taken to hospital and diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer, Stage 3B - which is the second last stage -- It was to the point that the doctor said if i hadnt started treatment, i would have had 2 weeks to live. I underwent a year and a half of chemotherapy and radiation, as well, a spinal taps, bone marrow aspirations, and stem cell transplants. I am now 7 years, 10 months CANCER FREE. but still to date hold the record at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario; for largest chest tumor at 83.7% of my chest cavity. Because of its size, and originating position, Operating was not an option. so it was pure radiated drugs to cure me.

I was in a car wreck March 12, 2012, the guy t-boned us right in my door, passenger side, the seat belt broke my right collar bone in 3 places & my bone punctured a hole in my right lung. I had glass in my right eye & cut up my right hand & side of my face. I was in the hospital for 8 days afterwards & they wanted to let my collar bone heal normally, but after a week the 3 pieces would still move around so they weren't gunna stay together long enough to heal on their own, so I had to into surgery for 11 screws & a curved titanium plate on my collar bone. Stayed in the hospital again 3 days after that. The wreck happened 5 years ago now & I still have nightmares of the impact & waking up with his headlight in my face. You can see my xray of my shoulder on my instagram, same name as here. 10/10 don't recommend.

I have been to the hospital for these reasons: 5 months old I had a surgery to remove my 6th toe on both of my feet I had a open heart surgery to remove a muscle in the left vertical of my heart that wouldn’t let the blood flow as much During the open heart surgery the doctors placed in a pacemaker since my heart wouldn’t be able to pump without help for a few months (which came out being a year and 2 months) I’ve gone to the emergency room 8 times because I’ve had extreme back pain because they placed in screws in my spine to be able to keep the leads of the pacemaker from moving around I had a tonsil surgery to remove my tonsils that were getting too big I was shot on my left shoulder which broke my clavicle and was hospitalized for 9 days because the bone was really broken and I lost a lot of blood. 3 years later the doctors found that the pacemaker came out defective. So they turned it off and they now installed an ICD (implantable cardiovascular defibrillator) which will act as a pacemaker and will give me a LIFE SAVING shock to prevent arithmias which will cause a person to go into sudden cardiac death. I have gotten shocked which feels like somebody just hit me with a hammer with all their strength. Because the ICD shocked me twice I had to call 911 and I was in the ICU for 2 days. Now I will have another surgery to remove the muscle of heart that was cut a few years ago because it grew back.

I had a stomach ache for months. I was 6 at the time and thought it would go away. It didn't so my mum to me to a lil non-major doctors appointment as I like to call it and they said it would go away and gave me no medicine. 12am christmas morning I woke up screaming. My stomach got worse. I was rushed to hospital having syringes shoved into each arm and kept waking me every 30 minutes giving me medicine and asking how I was feeling. The doctors thought that it was a virus that would kill all my intestines but it was a something else totally different that acted the exact same. My parents were real hero's my dad rushing me to hospital and my mum staying the night with me in a hospital chair

I had severe symptoms and the doctors thought I had mononucleosis and so my coronary arteries were permanently damaged. I have 5 giant aneurysms on my right coronary artery and 1 giant aneurysm on my left coronary artery. Had to have double bypass open heart surgery when I was 11 yrs old. Got my neck gashed open playing rugby a few years back due to a kid having metal blades instead of studs on his boots and the ref didn't check. I carried the ball into a tackle and a ruck was formed, the guy with the blades stood on the side of my neck and sliced it and literally so much blood was gushing out. I was at a high up tournament so luckily ambulances were there and we weren't far from a hospital. If either of those two factors weren't there, I would have died from bleeding out.

I know Tom isn't going to see this but I will tell you about my last time that I went to the hospital. When I was in year 10 which was 3 years ago, I had to do a project in Design Technology that consisted of cutting cardboard. I was talking to my friend and sliced my finger on the side of it from one side to the other. You could see my bones and muscle tissue. It took my teacher 20 seconds to realise that I was bleeding and it was squirting everywhere. He then decided to run it under a tap which was a bad idea because I was loosing blood. The school decided not to call an ambulance but to ring my dad to pick me up and take me. My dad then picked me up and took me home before taking me to the hospital because they thought it was a little cut. I was then took to hospital that was about 30 mins away from my house. When I got to the hospital I didn't get rushed straight through but had to wait 4 hours before getting seen. The person that cleaned my open wound was new and started shaking to the sight of blood. She then walked out to get someone else to do it which took another 30 mins while I was still bleeding. Thank god that the person knew what he was doing. I then got cleaned up and sent home with a 32 stitches overall inside and out. I was sent home. When I went to go and get my stitches took out they took all of them out but half of one went back inside and has been there ever since. There you go that is my story of the last time I went to hospital. Thank You for reading. If you have read it please give me a like so I know people actually read it. Thanks.

When I was 12, the day after Australian Mothers Day, 2010, I was infected with MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) in the bone marrow of the top half of my left Tibia. As it is a super bug that can't be 'killed' with antibiotics (hint is in the name), they did 7 operations on me within a month to remove the infection by hand (i.e. cut/drill a hole into my bone and wash/scrape it out). While I was in the hospital I developed a pneumonia where 95% of my lung capacity was filled with fluids (either one lung or both, can't remember but was very difficult to breathe long breaths). Was released June 6th. Had to take about 20 tablets per day until pretty much the end of the year. Around mid-August, bubbles of pus were reforming at the site of the infection, went back to the hospital and had another operation. After that, about a year and a half of visits that were weekly to begin with and slowly grew out to longer periods, until they became yearly. I was fortunate enough to be able to walk and run by March 2011 (not without a small limp), however I can only rotate my knee 110-120 degrees and suffered bouts of pain every now and then (although thankfully not for a few years now has it been really bad). Otherwise I am able to do everything I was able to do before, except for full knee rotation and slight loss of feeling on the left half of my lower leg.

The cause of this was that I had endocarditis (a bacterial infection in the heart damaging a valve, so I had to be in hospital till the 4th of June because I had to be on intense antibiotics for 6 weeks after open heart surgery. At the time of this comment (3rd October 2017) I've recovered very well and the surgery has improved the strength of the heart so I can now finally exercise with no problem 😁😁😁😁

I was probably around 14. I was at camp at this time and I was walking up a hill and for some reason my leg gave out. They decided that was enough activities for me that day so they put me in a wheelchair and took me back to the camp grounds. Got back to the camp grounds and laid me down on a bench. 10 min later I was screaming in pain because my psychiatric nerve (a nerve in my back) completely gave out and I couldn't move. Sent me to the ER. Long story short, I really did some damage to my back but I ended up going back to camp because I was promised smore's if I came back 😊

The worst I ever been to the hospital for is when I was having a panic attack that felt like I was having a heart attack. They gave me something to calm my heart down which only worked for an hour before I went back into my panic attack and continued to have it for a total of 3 days. I had never had one before so apparently this one had been building up due to stress and shit and decided to hit me like a train. It felt like someone was stepping on my heart the entire time (which made it hard to breathe), massive headache, insomnia (even when I could fall asleep, I woke up gasping because I assume I had stopped breathing), and I couldn't eat without puking. All this happened while I was at a 5 week summer camp. The worst of it didn't hit me whilst I was in the hospital, but it's the worst medical (kinda?) experience I've ever had that I did visit the hospital for.

I had a intradural extremedural spinal cord tumor removed at 21 (I am now 24) I’ve got the photos of my scar including staples (37 of them) and of my scar straight after the staples got plucked out whilst I was Awake. The neurosurgeon who did my operation works in multiple countries over the world and mainly does private but came to do mine on NHS as he said nobody in the world has ever had anything like this and he wanted to be the one to remove it. Thankfully it did not paralyse me. If you want to see the photos I don’t mind sending them to you or meeting you to show you the extent of it in person. (P.s. I don’t live far from you, near Sheffield, some people I went college with went to uni with Tom MC and went on holiday with him this year)

I fell out a second story window and landed on my wooden deck when I was six. Went to the emergency room, but was perfectly fine. At seven I had my tonsils removed. Broke my pinky toe at ten years. Sprained my thumb at 11. Broke another toe at 14. Had to get a bunch of x-rays and scans on my leg to figure out why it had so much pain when i was 16/17. Never figured it out, but pain eventually went away.

Biggest operation i had, was in the pill and it caused me to have a cyst on the right side of my chest, thankfully it wasn’t cancer.

On October 30 2010 I was carving pumpkins with my mom and my knife slipped and cut my hand open and I had to go to the emergency room. I cut through a tendon and a nerve on two separate fingers that required emergency surgery to be scheduled three days later. I did however have the coolest pumpkin for Halloween since I had real blood on mine so it wasn’t all bad.

I once fell through a glass window pane when I was 8 or 10. About a year or 2 ago it was for a badly sprained ankle. Otherwise, my visits are for my migraines. My brother though, his visits are worse.

Broke my shoulder socket in half had to get 5 pins in. Thats the worse i have many times too many to tell haha. But was under this little bridge walking along on sharp rocks. Sliped and my leg went down a tight gap up to my hip. Cut my heal and underside of foot. It was really deep with lots of little rocks in the cut. Didnt get stitches because we didnt go to the hospital untill the next day so they couldn't re stich it because it was too old but i can still see both scars really easy and that was 11 years ago

Broke my hip playing soccer, but we thought I had just pulled a muscle, and that's what the doctor said at the check up. Then it felt better after a week, and I climbed a 3000 foot mountain on vacay the next week. I tried soccer again a month later, and the injury happened again, so I got an MRI and they saw that my hip was fractured. I was 13

I went to the urgent care beachside I had pain that had been there for about 2 years coming and going. It turned into extreme pain in my lower left side and I went to make sure it wasn't appendicitis. Turns out I have some disease with my spleen that causes gallstones and I'm only 16. Then had to get an ultrasound the following week. Then about a month after had surgery to have it removed. Now I have to go to the doctors 1 a year to make sure my disease doesn't get worse.
