I watched this when I was a little boy, together with my father, and it gave me goosebumps. Now, thirty years later it still gives me goosebumps. Great, great scene.

Die Deutsche Synchro war fantastisch. Damals gab es noch Filme, bei der ich es tatsächlich lieber auf Deutsch als im Original anschaue, weil z. B. ein Rainer Brandt so unglaublich gut synchronisiert hat. Leider sind die Zeiten vorbei, auch wenn ich normalerweise keiner bin, der etwas nostalgisch verklärt. Aber die traurige Wahrheit ist: die Deutsche Synchro, die einmal von großer Qualität war, ist nur noch ein Schatten ihrer selbst.

Die Musik macht wirklich mehr als die Hälfte der Wirkung der gesamten Szene aus. Und meiner Meinung nach ist es immer noch das 'mitreißendste' Western-Thema, dass je geschrieben wurde. Einmalig und unvergleichlich.

Soy de Granada en España..os cuento como vivi aquellos dias..siento no poder escribirlo en ingles.. Buenos tiempos aquellos, estuve en el rodaje de esta película, mi padre trabajaba en esta estación. Un día entre por detrás de esta estación, no tenia luz eléctrica, se abastecía de una molineta de viento y unas cuantas baterías, Entre por detrás en 1973 y salia a 1887.. Lo habían cambiado todo el anden forrado de traviesas, un gran deposito de agua, urinarios..enfrente una pueblo que radiaba vida del viejo oeste.. En aquel tiempo dejaban las tolvas de Alquife en vías de apartadero, una de ellas se ve con la lona echada en el film. Me contrataron de aguador iba con un botijo para darle agua a los 150 figurantes de caballos. Era el verano del 73, Henry Fonda era el tio mas alto y mas seco que vi, andares muy lentos, me acuerdo que había junto a su sombrilla de playa con silla de compañera un barril de carburante abierto como una lata de sardinas lleno de fantas, cocacolas, refrescos, etc... una tarde pase al lado y le presente el botijo, pero, el cogio su botella de cristal de cocacola.. Las ultimas escenas rodadas se situan en el ramal que iba a las minas, la escena situa a los 150 jinetes persiguiendo al tren. se repetían mucho las escenas, tenian un walkie de CB.para comunicarse con el grupo, para que se viese a donde disparaba Henry Fonda, tuvieron que pegarles a todos espejos cuadrados 2x2 en pantalones, sombreros etc eran las estrellas que llevaban en las alforjas donde llevaban supuestamente la dinamita. En las pausas del rodaje a mediodía, habríamos las ciembreras con nuestra tortilla casera, para resguardarnos del sol, comíamos en los propios coches de tablas del tren. los demás pasaban por catering ubicada en una enorme caravana... Unos de esos días coincidí con el doble de Terence, parecían hermanos, llevaba unos revólveres que median casi medio metro de cañon, el tambor de balas sonaba increíble, las tomas donde Terence apunta en la pala de carbón y los gestos desde la maquina el tren, era interminable, montaron un andamio en el tender para las tomas donde los don van subidos, no se como aguantaba aquello.. Tanto T. Hill como Henry sudaban bien la camiseta. Los explosivos se detonaban en viejas palanganas que contenían explosivos ademas del corcho rojo grueso y polvo rojo de la mina, con el fin de levantar una espectacular nube en la explosión . Los caballos delanteros eran los de caída, que llevaban los extras expertos, bueno en una repetición de escenas, uno de los caballos le cayo a uno encima y tuvieron que llevarlo a Granada por contusiones diversas. Creo que al acabar iban a rodar escenas en Nueva Orleans en el barrio frances y en el puerto desde donde parte Henry Fonda en el barco, después del duelo figurado en las calles rodadas en el barrio frances.. En las ultimas escenas de persecución al tren contrataron una grúa de Guadix para dar mejores efectos.... Fue un buen verano aquellas 500 pesetas diarias me sirvieron para ir a la Feria de mi pueblo, la mar de pancho, tenia 15 años......

Esta película se rodó casi 30 años antes de que yo naciera... Lo que daría por haber vivido eso. Desde pequeño que estoy enamorado del spaghetti western y lo que me gustaría volver a esas tardes de domingo viendo estas películas con mi abuelo... Gran historia la tuya.

So now i understand the reason why my dad said to me when i was a kid '' this is cultural learning'' i remember we saw all western movies made from 1939 to today and they all have each charme. But this one here i understand its a spagetthi western but i love this scene with Fonda looking at the wild horde
