It's always fun when you see both chess players on the board having a tremendous will to win. Many people say that Anish Giri always tries to play for a draw. Nothing can be farther from truth. Anish is quite a big fighter and often when he sees a small chance for himself, he doesn't give up until the very end. His opponent Africa no.1 Bassem Amin is also a tremendous fighter. When two opponents meet who want to win at all costs, you get a battle that is intense and exciting to watch.
The game took place at the World Rapid 2019, Moscow.
