On another note: WOW! You can see so many lore connections in this video alone. Jottun and Dokkalfar are allies of the Amaranthine, and you can definitely see the dark elves’ handiwork in Jottunhessen’s pointy architecture and gothic colors. But not only that, the Greco-Roman murals and wall decor also hints at their previous alliance with the Kollossae (they did work together to build their cities after all!)

Saw it on reddit, this is fantastic work! I hope, too, that someone gets around to making a game on this IP.

KZitem recommended this video to me, but I'm confused, what exactly is it about? Is it a new game? By the way, I liked the video

It's an MMORPG-sequel to the single-player game "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning", though, the MMORPG was just going to be called "Kingdoms of Amalur". It was going to be similar to World of Warcraft in many aspects. Tab target, multiple races and classes etc. It was in development between 2006-2012, but never saw the light of day, because the company (38 Studios) went bankrupt. I'm a big fan of the first game, so my channel is some sort of mini-archive of released (or that has appeared through other means) videos/material of the MMORPG that I've collected over the years (about 11-12 years). My main goal was to kinda get a "movement" going, but it's no longer needed anymore, as the devs have basically said that they are trying to revive it. And Thank You for the like! :)

I wonder, since THQ Nordic bought the rights and are clearly invested in the world of Amalur (having just released DLC for a 10 year old game) that they could take the Project Copernicus assets and stitch it together into a full fledged game. It would likely be a single player game since THQ doesn’t have the finances to run an MMO but it seems like they are clearly interested in continuing Amalur’s world.

A team of ex-38 studios staff and MMO-veterans are currently trying to revive Copernicus. But there aren't many details about it yet, though! But exciting times ahead!

@@tozzeb I haven’t heard any news about this on any gaming websites. Where did you hear this information? On one hand, it makes sense considering the Fatesworn dlc. The idea of a game from 2012 getting a dlc expansion over 10 years later is practically unheard of. Makes it seem THQ is interested in going back to Amalur. Unfortunately, the Project Copernicus seems extremely outdated graphically. They would have to seriously update the game world with better textures and lighting.

@@tozzeb if they ever revive Copernicus, I doubt it will still be an MMO. THQ doesn’t have the resources to support a fully fledged MMO. If anything, they’ll use the assets but retool it into a single player campaign.

Torchlight 3 is an example of an MMO being retooled into a single player campaign and worked decently well.

@@mosesking2923 venturebeat.com/games/unleashed-is-making-games-that-bring-people-together-the-deanbeat/ has some information about it, and kzitem.info/news/bejne/mYaD2mivZp6EpYY But graphically, I would say most stuff holds up really well. Sure, lightning and things like that would be cool if they updated, but I don't think they have to make the assets from the ground up due to its cartoony nature. The biggest issue is that the game was being made in Unreal Engine 3, so they probably have to start from ground up to re-code everything to get it to work on UE5 (or something else). Don't quote me on that though!
