I know this video is now 2 years old or older; but...... Thank you, Jay for this video!!! I spent many hours researching AM5 parts and researching reviews of the needed components. The case was a component I couldn't make up my mind on. As someone who has used "traditional" tower cases: I wanted something "different" along with the need for the PC to be on the left hand side of the desk. The installation of all the components in the case was the easiest one I've ever done and the cable management was awesome. I have since ordered another O11D Evo to move my AM4 platform into. While there are many cases that allowing the motherboard to be rotated: for me, the O11D Evo made sense as far as price and build ease for what I needed. Thank you so much!!!

You guys should do a build in this, easily one of the best cases I've seen, maybe one with a custom loop. Also seen Gamers Nexus's review of this thing and the customisability is very commendable. However, I think for the top shield, make it an option to have the usbs and stuff like that nearer to the front, because a lot of people put their pcs under their desk, and may find it hard to bend down, or find it hard to fit usbs on the top, so if the usbs were newer to the front, the user could maybe have the case stick out a bit and they could fit them in far more easily, but this is just my opinion. I'vre had an inverted case for a few years now (Corsair 600C) and I think the cooling suffers a bit. In this case its probably not too bad as you could just do bottom intake top exhaust either way. I'd be interested to see how it affects cooling for the 30 series FE GPUs in particular. Ive got an FE 3080Ti and I don't think inverted is giving the best cooling for its cooler design, so I was actually planning on picking up a normal oriented case, though inverted tends to work better for my setup space in general. I really like just how much you can customise it to suit your layout. The option to double the amount of I/O ports is also a nice addition to an already fantastic case. The only real gripes I have are in two places. First, the reservoir's mount position seems like a lot of wasted real estate (unless you can reposition it further along, making space for a PSU next to it). Meanwhile, the top part of the compartment feels like a great place to mount a fan, to push air onto the motherboard's backplate... Second, I agree the Upright GPU kit is weird, but using this with the Front Mesh is weirder - this is especially noticeable with a partner GPU, which either have some RGB bling, or even an LCD display. I feel there could be a Hybrid Front Panel kit, with most of it a mesh for up to 140mm fans, but also a 20mm window flush with the RGB bar to support a partner GPU's "wow" area.

I still would not buy this case, because of it's size, but if I had unlimited budget and space to put my PC, I would definitely be getting one of these, even if just to support the initiative! For now though, I will stick with my current build, that does still use an ejectable cupholder aka BD-RW drive, which is also not an option on the 011.

I'm building my Second PC and am using that same case, i can see why they are so popular, I believe they have a bigger version of that case as well now.. So Far I'm loving all the gromets and cable running options on it.. If I can recommend a video to do, If you haven't done one on the subject, ( I'm new to the Channel), and that would be all the extra cables needed to do a build, I just had to order a USB 2.0 Multi Header plug to finish my build.. Love the Channel...

This case needs a closed version. I don't care about the internal components, I just want a good looking case.

The optional add-ons are great, the downside is that at least in Canada, they aren't that available and are quite expensive.

Tandem or ALTERNATE PSU mounting locations. You just finished talking about alternate mounting methods. If you flip the case over, you may not want the PSU mounted on the top, making the case top heavy. So you have a way of moving the PSU to the alternate location to make it bottom mounted.

Liam li is by far the best company making pc components. They’re doing things that just make every build so much nicer and really make such small detail improvements that fix things that have troubled builders for years. Modular fans. Little extra cut outs to help hide wires. All that stuff. And unlike other brands like Corsair who do the same shit as everyone else. They really don’t charge up their prices for these functionally and aesthetically better components.

Jay i totally agree with you regarding the cable channel management. I just recently had the Montech Sky Two Chassis and boy was I frustrated with the cable management in that case, I couldn't even close the back case. So I've sent back the Montech Sky Two Chassis and am looking for a new chassis hence I'm here watching your video.

The interesting part about this case is that I don't see any intake filters for dust. Maybe the intakes are wide open so dust is not an issue or has time to settle with the air flow?

It may sound stupid but, the O11 Dynamic is the whole reason I am switching back to PC gaming from console. The case is absolutely beautiful and this new one is so much better! I can't wait to get it.

"because it's the thing that you look at all the time" I legitimately bought a Phanteks P500A with the flashenblinken for my hardware, which was and still is placed not only outside of my room, but on another floor, where I don't look at it unless I have to go do something to it. I admired its lights for a little while and fiddled with them briefly (after spending most of my build time figuring out the wiring since there were some routing/length issues with my new ARGB AIO as well) and then disabled all of the lights. I got it mostly for its utility rather than its looks, and boy howdy do I enjoy its utility.

For aesthetics make the upright GPU bracket screws area slidable to position the GPU centrally between the motherboard and the front of the case. This would also provide space and give the ability to connect cables to all motherboard sizes.

I just found a video of someone building in the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO and they used an AIO for cooling the CPU, however this "Reviewer" placed the radiator on the bottom of the case thus letting any air to go to the pump and then complains/explains why he did the set up that way. (He did a vertical GPU mount blocking off the top mounting area) This reviewer also mostly complained about how this case is not for the beginner in building computers.

Hey Jay, I would absolutely love to see a build in this, but if you do PLEASE do it in the left-side configuration! Like you said at the beginning, it looks similar to the regular O11 Dynamic from the outside, so I feel like a left-side build would give it a lot of novelty and make it much more interesting. Plus it would show us exactly how it flips, because I still can't wrap my head around it. For Lian-Li, I don't know how much this is addressed but because we have a new location to put the graphics card, it would make a lot of sense to include watercooling component support in the bottom left of the chassis, to help fill the space if the graphics card is on the right. Or maybe some sort of new distribution block/pump designed for this case that helps fill that space? Either way, this is seriously one of the most impressive and well designed cases I've ever seen.

Great case. Unfortunately, the Harbor Gray was sold out, so went with black. This case makes the build so easy. Used Lian Li AL120 Unifans, installed the fan controller, which the case RGB plugs into; EK 011D Side Distroplate; 2 EK PE360 radiators, and voila, everything is neat, clean, and cool. I agree with Jay, the cable channel is a definite plus. I have both regular 011D and an 011D XL builds and in each I've got the cables crammed in and bulging, since I'm running so much stuff. This case, everything fits behind the shroud. Also love the mesh top and side panels, which seem to help airflow, over the prior 011D slotted panels. If you can't easily build a great system with this case...give up!

I just received my evo case, loved the modularity of it when I watched the video. Disappointed that there aren't many places in the UK to get the extras, but did manage to grab the front mesh kit and my first of many 3 pack kit of the uni fans. Time to get rid of the Corsair 780t that my build is currently in. A huge thanks to you Jay as you are the content creator I watch most for up to date ideas and advice on which hardware to look for and which to avoid 🤘🏻

I think this is amazing like the customization alone seems reason enough to be excited for. I like the clean look the case provides and the option to be different than your average build. I’m currently upgrading my rig and yes i know bad time to do that with all the inflation on pricing but, this makes me want to get this case to make my new build look aesthetically pleasing. Hope to get one can’t wait to see others builds on this.

The only thing missing in this case is allowing us to make it Horizontal, that would be so good. Put the feet on one of the sides and just sit it on top of it. ^^

the upright mounting bracket is really impressive except for the grommet style passthru in the back. you effectively need to unplug your display cables from the back of your monitor which can be a huge pain if you have monitors on an arm. this really needs a set of female plugs on the back in place of the grommet, like Jay said.
