Nice torch and review 👍🏽 but the (also Chinese made ) Fenix TK35 2018 UE gives some good competition and is very similar in many many ways. PLus, 3200 lumens & it’s using two 18650’s which actually gives a better grip IMO and the obvious benefits of having an extra 18650 in there. Check it... but just sayin 🔦 😉

Supposedly, the light will remember the current setting when you turn it off. So if you turn it off in 2800 lumen mode, yeah, it'll come back on at that intensity. But if you turn it off while it's on low, it will come back on at _that_ setting. That's what the Nitecore web store says anyway.

DANIEL LONG I recently got the MH27UV for xmas. I got to say I like it a lot. I got it with 2 18650 2300mah batteries and charging set. I haven't looked at specs as to if it will take the 3500 battery. I was out in the road when I saw this video. Anyways the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a quick set button for strobe light, you have to turn it on and then press both +&-. I also have the power Tac warrior gen 3 that does offer that but in all honesty MH27UV is superior in current technology such as it being able to be charge using a micro USB and multiple light settings. I only wish one or the other would add each other's technology and include a zoom in and out option.

Most flashlight using 18650 and 21700 or other like that with outrageously high lumen output is just a marketing gimmicks. Because most of them run in Turbo mode gets extremely hot for the LED and body and the battery. Most these flashlights get extremely hot that you were not able to handle it. Its because the flashlight is used as a heat sink for the components especially the Light Emitting Diode. Diode is a solid state electronics and semiconductor. As we all know Electronics especially semiconductors dont like heat. Thats why you see computer processors and video cards nowadays have very huge heat sink and cooling fans. And more creative in heat sink design. Some even use thermo electric cooler or even water cooling. Excessive heat will destroy semiconductors. Yes they are rugged in construction but extreme heat can destroy them. Heat can also destroy the battery itself.

A comment I heard on iTube lately made me think. The Government has made self-defence virtually illegal here possibly for a very good reason. Solicitors and lawyers make a substantial living from court cases,especially involving victims of crime. So what better way to make them even more money than practically encouraging criminals to act,thereby guaranteeing a solicitor another court case. The outcome doesn't matter because he collects his fee anyway. All these people are rich,privileged buddy boys,especially those in government,all looking out for each other. We,on the other hand,are expendable.

It could have been a great product, if it wasn't for the proprietary battery. There is no technical reason to make this only work decently with the provided 18650. Of course it needs a high drain cell that can deliver at least 8 Amps, but those cells are generally available. Its only purpose is to fulfill the greed of Nitecore, who rather sell a 18650 for $20 than for $5. Besides that, in turbo mode, the light last only 15 minutes. Why not make it suitable for a 26650, which doubles that time.

Junk. Not even in the same league and there's no way in hell it's going to produce 5K lumens. I will guarantee you that this lite is many times brighter than that thing. Those cheap flashlights are lucky to put out 1000 lumens, regardless of their bogus claims.. Think about it. Why would Nitecore, a respectable company, go to the trouble of making a special battery capable of withstanding the current draw resulting from producing 2800 lumens for a few minutes when an $8 flashlight claims to produce 5000 lumens with any old 18650 battery? It's because, just like cheap Chinese batteries that exaggerate their MAh rating, cheap Chinese flashlight manufacturers routinely lie and exaggerate lumen output. Deal Extreme had to get rid of a buttload of flashlights from their site for making fraudulent claims like that one you linked to. BTW, that same flashlight is sold under about a dozen different brand names. The more honest ones claim around 900 lumens. They're all clones of one another and, compared to flashlights made by Nitecore, Surefire, etc., they're all pieces of crap.
@CharlesBridgTec
7 жыл бұрын
RVapes Nitecore does not make batteries. They only sell rewrapped products. Second of all they purchase batteries from B and C bin from the LG, Panasonic or Sanyo! So I have seen on youtube others saying Nitecore batteries were not wrapped good at all right out of the retail pachage. Plus they only add the protection circuit s on their battery and charge almost three times the price for it. Olight, Klaris and Imalent for the same thing. I believe Nitecore is overpriced and overrated... not saying they don't make a good 🔦.
