Also I feel like flowers and plants are not a good idea for anyone with animals. I’ve had to hide bouquets in the closet.

Once I got a 3 foot tall strange looking Dalmatian dog statue. It had a really droopy face with big saggy eyes.

I sell host/hostess gift baskets for personal use with Epsom salt for body relaxation, soothing eye pads with coordinating pedicure & manicure sets. Every host/hostess needs to relax after a long day as well as eliminate the smell of turkey, etc from their body. If other guests feel inadequate for not giving a gift it's on them to be considerate to a host/hostess slaving over a hot stove to provide a free meal. Lavender is the #1 scent for relaxation however, if your host/hostess does not care for the scent "RE-GIFTING" is okay as long as personalized tags are removed. It is better than throwing it away or donating it to a thrift store. Don't overthink gifting, but do be thoughtful!

Agree - it should be thoughtful.💛 While I personally love the idea of a relaxation kit, it's a little personal and I wouldn't gift it to a hostess I don't know well. Also not everyone appreciates scented items because of allergies, scent intolerance etc. I'd definitely reserve a relaxation gift idea for an extra special hostess I know well.

Flowers that are toxic for cats that one of cats likes to eat. And chocolate that had an expiry date over a year old.
