You were showing your Flexi-Coil air seeder later on in the video. Cousin Terry passed away in Saskatoon just a few weeks ago. His father started Flexi-Coil when they just produced land packers. Terry expanded their business into other lines. I worked at Flexi-Coil before they built their big manufacturing complex in Saskatchewan. It was during the summer so I could attend Bible school in Calgary. . . . yes we moved to Calgary in 1970. I am retired now. Time flies. By the way, nice trucks.

Sorry to hear of Terry Frigstad passing, it was the Accord system invented by Helmut Weiste that Frigstad/Flexi coil incorporated onto a field cultivator to create the airseeder, the rest is History the world over

Very dramatic opening. Nice! Consider putting some anti-seize compound on the tips on the air drill - both on the bolts/nuts and inside the tips where they slide on/off. Might make the next change out a little easier.

When we used to change replaceable carbide bits on our milling machines, we would use angled tips with air hammers. Seems like that would work for changing the tips.

When you're changing those tips, would brushing on some never seize to the bolts and the area the tips cover make them easier to change next time?

Would some antisieze on the interface of those snouts/tips help? or maybe some grease? Might be worth trying 2-3 as a trial.

If you hit them when the bolt is out hit them from the bottom under the tip three for four times to get them moving. Then smack them down from the top side.

Tony -- Wouldn't those those tips come off easy if you heated them with a torch and then knocked them off? I know the plastic seed tube is close but couldn't that be detached and then put back on?

You shouldnt need to beat every opener off the drill like that i changed all 80 on my drill and only bad to beat 2 off they were original to the drill so 5 years old and i just dug the dirt out of the bolt with a pick and zinged it out with an impact and most of them came off with 1 hammer it.
