Thanks for sharing. Know it was stressful and adding the filming was an additional challenge. Also thanks to Mum for feeding the workers. I remember helping my mother fix food for crews cutting hay. Important to keep the workers fed!

Tom, I'm not a farmer, but I really enjoy watching your content. It says a lot when on one of your most stressful days, you still gave us content, kept smiling, and showed us again, how much you care for the ladies. Big respect to you and the team, including Mum. @davel101 so he dont kill the baby boys? He literally states in a video they use sexed semen so he only had a 12 percent cull rate....u do know what culling means? And the fact u state you're not a farmer it really shows....male calves are no profit to farmers they have little choice...farming is for profit a living ....I dont even think their bad people their just supplying the demand ...but you can't say its done out of love. No dog owner would take their dog to a slaughterhouse would they!? Exactly my point ....

Bless your heart Tom, what came over to me was that you were more stressed about the cows being stressed, that's why your you tube channel is growing because you care so much about your cows. The first milking was going to be trial and error and all I kept thinking is the cows will get settled and then have learn another new way but by the summer it will all be behind you and your new parlour will be up and running and your girls be back to full strength. Congratulations getting the new project underway and a fantastic job done by all again ❤️xxxx

Well done Tom and team. Back in the late 60's early 70's I used to milk in a ground bale on Salisbury Plain. We would graze the cows around the bale which was a 5/10 Herrington but our problems came when we moved the bale and cows to new grazing and it would take a couple of milkings for the cows to get used to the move. I believe we were the last farm to use bale milking. For interest the bale folded up and was towed behind a land rover or tractor, folded out, a canvas cover went over the bale and was tied into the frame. No pit, the cows were on the same level as we were. It was back breaking, I'm in the summer but a nightmare in rain and the winter.
