@@BurdascoobstiYou need a source for that? Basic comprehension skills and good history lessons during school would help. It’s literally the perfect example of the butterfly effect. WW1 happened because he took the wrong turn and Ferdinand was assassinated. WW2 happened because of WW1. Germans were pissed about Versailles and elected a maniac who promised to overturn this treaty and bring “their” land back. The Cold War was lowkey about to happen anyways, but the way each of the superpowers governed their respective German zones (outcome of WW2) had risen the tensions. And the Cold War was also crucial to the end of the USSR and its split became the catalyst of the unstable situation in that region we see to this day, even in the Ukraine war. Russia had history always a weird possessiveness over these regions and Putin is quoted saying that the biggest defeat was the fall of the Soviet Union. So yeah they all are linked to an extend, making this statement true in a roundabout way.

Got to disagree with you on this one man, Caesar set Ptolemys forces ships on fire in the great harbour to get the upper hand in the Civil war between Ptolemy and Cleopatra, Caesar never confirmed in writing the extent of the damage caused by the fire but the great Historian Plutarch travelled to Egypt and confirmed that the fire had spread to the Library and set it on fire destroying unimaginable pieces of History and information, Along with Plutarch their are other historical accounts of the fire, So to dismiss these and say it’s all due to the passage of time isn’t really the way to look at it, Yes I will agree it more than likely fell into disrepair with the passage of time as does anything else but we have accounts of the actual fire that need to be considered, The accounts state that the Library was rebuilt but the knowledge lost was irreplaceable, Which I can imagine being why less and less scholars came to study as the library lacked its previous shelves of knowledge leading to the Library falling into decline and what knowledge remained being unmaintained as you mentioned above

another one that's considered one of the worst mistakes in history is the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor. They had basically no reason to get the US into the war at that point. The US was just using sanctions and trade control to bully them out of China and SE Asia. They probably wouldn't have gone to war, because the public didn't want a war. But as soon as Arizona was sitting at the bottom of the harbor, Americans were PISSED and wanted revenge. If Japan hadn't bombed the US, they likely would have managed to snatch up a TOOOOON of colonies in the region. Oh, it also came right as Hitler's forces started getting stomped by the Red Army, which was really the first indication that Germany would lose the war, so Japan just fucked everything up by adding another player to the game with far more industrial power than anyone else.

The library at Alexandria only suffered minor damage from the fire. It still went on and operated for centuries. It was mostly poor management and upkeep that led to its eventual fall. Also papyrus rotted away and they didn’t make copies at the library. So again poor management.

To the contrary, Japan declared that it would still not surrender even after the 2 atomic bombs were dropped, it took the Emperor to step in and stop the war hungry generals that didn’t care about the Japanese people.

I think clockwork is the 2nd strongest alien. His biggest feat was reversing the destruction of infinite universes/timelines. If someone works on the show and states something doesn't mean it's true. There's a video on the ink tank that exlains it better.

The fire in Alexandria during that siege wasn’t large and most of the books were preserved, the “great fire” happened 3 centuries later

Just a quick thing on the library of Alexandria. It is completely unknown when the Library of Alexandria burned down with records varying from 48 B.C.E to the 7th century. Many historians believe the library burned down in the 3rd century when the Palacequarter was destroyed bur noone actually knows. Also interessting is that we do not actually have a clue about how many scrolls and texts were actually stored there but it is universally agreed that many of the texts about it are probably hyping it up quite a bit

Some added info to that first one: prior to turning that corner, other assassins tried to kill Franz Ferdinand, but failed, so one of these assassins decided to go to a local cafe to get something to eat, and as he ate outside, the car turned the corner right in front of him

misquote from mr adolfus; the real quote as to why he was denied is that they claimed he had “showed no real interest in art” and were surprised when he said he had no education or training in the architecture field and suggested that he do that instead.

Disagree with the last one. Yeah it gave us more responsibility but it also meant more freedom and less death from disease. Definitely a "With great power comes great responsibility situation."
