The most absurd thing about this is how they've also used tracks from companies like Disney for their NFTs. Stealing from independent artists makes you just as much of a scumbag, but you could ultimately weasel your way out of it. But how did they expect to use material owned by billion-dollar corporations and not have their ass immediately sued? lmao

The part the really kills me is how they seem completely oblivious to the fact that a lot of artists, DIY artists in particular, are just completely not down for NFTs in the first place. Like Fenton, bro, the very underlying concept of your site to, "create NFTs of every song" is already a crock because artists are individual people with different thoughts and ideas and values and not all of them are going to want to be involved with NFTs even when they aren't this obvious of a gift.

Some crypto exchange already did this. They minted cryptocurrencies names after celebrities like Elon Musk with zero permission or input from the individuals who name or likeness they were using. They tried to rationalize it as that whomever they were minting the crypto for could come and claim it at any time and, of course, the exchange would take their cut of the currency. They tried to rig it up so that either they could have all the crypto without involving the person or they would just take a healthy cut if the person objected and took ownership.
