You guys are awesome. Thanks for sharing adventures with us. Those beaches and dirt roads are unreal. Glad that you were able to work through the pain: sticking together and taking care of each other is important, especially when you’re traveling and depending on each other. The tiny creatures which freaked you out are possibly the larvae of a species of hoverfly. Hoverflies are good pollinators, there are several species. Be not afraid, live and let live.

Ah ha yes! After doing a google of the horverflies I’ve found that it’s actually the larvae of a drone fly, but they seem closely related. I think the larvae are also called rat tailed maggots, bit gross. That’s for cracking that one for us!
