I live in Melbourne, gotta say I agree. I've literally come across 7 different protests within the past month. Covid didn't help. It's a bunch of junkies with hair growing down to their knees stopping trams screaming about the fact that they need to stay inside all the time. Hell, even my neighbours go outside onto our street and protest shit at midnight. Get me out of here, honestly.
@jimbothegymbro7086

the protests have been going weekly in Melbourne for a while, it's over the mandates stopping the unjabbed working and after months of it you'd think one side would give up (lets be honest it'd be the government dropping the mandates because protests to a Melbourne resident is like meth to a crack head) but nah

That's because there is nothing wrong with Tasmania. 😎 I live in the North-West, the crack capital of Australia, and the further you go east from where I live the more civilised it becomes, you head off to Burnie, then you go through Devenport, to Launceston and if you decide to go south its a couple hours to Hobart. North-West isn't actually too bad, the main problem is that you can't fucking do anything if that thing you want is modern, I want to do a IT course, but they only offer it in Hobart which is a bloody 4 hour drive, total BS I say. Tasmania definitely deserves more attention, living in the middle of nowhere, on the island in the middle of nowhere, in a country in the middle of nowhere, often makes it feel like world events are happening in an alternate reality since I have no idea what's going on in my backyard but ever every clue of what's happening thousands of Km's away. I wonder if you have a similar mentality, about Tassie feeling like an alternate reality devoid of news or attention, anytime Tasmania is mentioned I feel happy and even proud that we are getting talked about.

As an English man something I always found strange was that most people have no idea that the capital city of Australia is Canberra, ask anyone and 75% of them say Sydney, some people that are pseudo smart say aha! It's Melbourne right? About 20% and maybe 5% will actually know it Canberra. What's going on? Ask anyone what's the capital of any other country and they will probably get it right unless you are American, is there some kind of secret cover up happening? Is the prime minister a drop bear?

Correction: Melbourne will protest for a lot of things, except that one time when Justine Damond got shot to death in the no longer United America by a black cop. When they were interviewed by a certain middle eastern comedian (that also lives in Australia) during a pro blm protest, he asks if they know that name (which ended up with 100% NOs) & after informing them of what happened, he asks why do you think her murder didn't get as much outrage as a certain sir George? Their answer? It's because she's a "white racist supremacist"...this was answered by a bunch of Uni students, early 20s CAUCASIAN Uni students mind you.

Without fail within 10 minutes of getting into Whyalla I will have some interaction with some kind of freak of nature, they are the kind of people that stare at you because you are obviously aren't from round there because you are happy and don't walk around with your mouth open. The only good thing and I mean single fucking thing is there is cuttlefish near-by, but don't swim in the water or eat the fish because you'll get lead poisoning and turn into a Whyalla blank stare, drooling, goober.
