The problem with guys like Stephen Jackson saying he’s better than Ginobli or Ray Allen is that, at his best when he was in a zone he may have been, but he would have a game like that maybe 1 in every 6 or 7 games. Whereas Ginobli and Ray would do it on a nightly basis for years

Nobody thought Kareems record would be broken and it happened. Records are made to be broken. Someone WILL break Stockons assist record sooner than later and it might end up being Haliburton if he can stay healthy.
@iW34Rglasses00

Sorry but those records are damn near untouchable. Haliburton is injury prone so he won't get close. Stockton played 82 for 20 years to get those stats and that's just not happening anytime soon.

I think the person most likely to break LeBron’s scoring record is Paolo Banchero. He’s in his 2nd year and he’s already at 2,350 points. If he scores at least 30 points a game and plays every single game for the rest of the season, he will be at 3,500 by the end of the season. Then let’s say he averages 35 a game for all 82 games for the next 3 seasons and he will be at 8,600, which will put him at over 12,000 career points within the first 5 years. I think it’s possible.
@bumbiedore6611
6 ай бұрын
@@B345T1N355Official I don't think Paolo is the guy. 1 he started too late, he entered the league at 20 while lebron came in at 18. 2, 35 points per game is a crazy expectation for a guy whos a career 21 ppg scorer. 30 is probably the limit for him and if thats the case considering lebron is still a top scorer in the league Paolo would have to consistently be averaging 30ppg until his late 40s.
@B345T1N355Official
6 ай бұрын
@@bumbiedore6611 But you have to keep in mind LeBron broke his scoring record at year 20 and during years 16, 18, & 19 as well as for some of that year he missed a chunk of games due to injury, and in year 14 LeBron rested out a bunch of games, and during years 1-7 scoring was not as high on average as it is today, resting is a lot more enforced and teams are averaging more points per game, likewise are the players, if scoring keeps going up then I think Paolo has a legitimate shot, he’s averaging 23 PPG right now as a 2nd year and I think there is a possibility.
@bumbiedore6611
6 ай бұрын
@@B345T1N355Official I mean it is a possibility but a very slim one. Disregarding longevity completely, Paolo just hasnt shown that he can score at the highest level yet. 23 points as a second year isnt enough. If you want a better option you can look at Luka. In his second year he averaged almost 29ppg. If he can average 30 for 20 years and be an iron man the whole time he could possibly do it.

If LeBron James plays another 2 or 3 seasons and stays healthy, he'll break Robert Parish's record for games played. It will be very difficult for anyone to break Lebron's scoring record at that point. They'll need to play over 1500 games averaging over 30 points per game. Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan are the only players who've averaged over 30 points per game for their career and Lebron James will only be the 6th player to play over 1500 games. Lebron will probably hold that record for at least another 40 years.
