Those souvenirs you can get cheaper on shop Disney, we can't get in Australia...and then, think about shipping (to get free shipping, gotta spend $120 and over). In our case, sometimes it IS cheaper to get them at the parks!

BEST WDW PURCHASE EVER! -- A Mickey Bubble Wand for my tired 2-year-old grandson, right before we made our way over to the hub to watch "Happily Ever After". Not only was he happily entertained for the hour until the fireworks, so were ALL the toddlers & small kids in the area! It turned into a toddler party! Everyone in the area, including parents & grandparents, had so much fun while waiting for the show. Pricy? Yup, but priceless!

I must admit that the Figment bucket is one that we still have prominently displayed simply because we love it. I actually use the popcorn buckets at home for, well, popcorn, while watching shows. The refillable mugs are my coffee mugs every day; and I switch them out daily both at home and on the road mugs. I might be a rare beast, but I have used every mug and bucket I have (a lot) regularly. Yes, it’s me, I’m the unicorn! 🦄🤣

i think if you're going to be ordering disney merch online to save money or buy it outside the park, it's because you constantly buy loads of stuff or you're a collector or something ;) i don't go to disney world often, and when i go i don't buy loads of souvenirs - so when i do buy something i really want, i buy it in the parks because i want to say it comes from the park, not from walmart :)

Regarding popcorn buckets and sippers, I can’t eat popcorn but I have bought the Figment popcorn bucket (gave the popcorn away to a group that was thrilled!) and the 50th anniversary Minnie sipper (not pouring the Coke into the sipper!) Both are prominently displayed in my Disney bedroom and were worth the hassle of getting them home on the plane.

Fifteen years ago, I went to Disney with my parents, my cousin, and my two best friends from high school. One of my friends told us after we got to Florida that she wanted to meet Pluto. Well, my parents and I were scrambling to figure out how to make that happen. Cue Garden Grill. They were the only place at the time that had availability week-ok and I honestly have such fond memories from eating there and meeting the characters. I also remember being impressed with the food as well. Unfortunately for my friend, I’m not sure she enjoyed it as much as she could have because she was getting sick and didn’t realize it (she was getting strep). We have a picture of her at the table holding a plate with a cupcake, and you can absolutely tell she’d started not feeling well. It’s such a bummer to be sick at Disney, but I hope meeting Pluto was still fun for her. Our friendship survived that trip too 😂

I have to agree with the lockers. We were there this January, and it was our first visit for 10+ years. When I did a massive shopping spree at Galaxy Edge (mainly so I was able to buy lighstabers and would not be disappointed if they sold out) it was great to just pop back and pop them in and chill out for the rest of the day without carrying half a store with me. To me they were also cheap.

I bought a (not cheap) Goofy T-shirt in Epcot in 2016 and despite not wearing it often it fell apart within three years. Meanwhile, I have Froot Loops and Corn Flakes T-shirts that I bought for $5 each from Steve & Barry's, which shut down in 2009, and both are a bit tattered today but still completely wearable.

The point about souvenirs you can find much cheaper on shop Disney may be true for US folk but for us UK folk, a lot of the stuff in the parks and on the shop disney US site are sadly not on the uk Disney shop site, and many are US exclusives, so I will be much more inclined to buy souvenirs whilst I’m there that I wouldn’t see back home, but I will double check before hand in case they are available from uk site too

I send everything home that don’t fit inside my purse. I just do a one stop shop in each park. Except for Animal Kingdom because I love the crafts done in Africa, jewelry and hand carved walking stick (specially made for my tall brother) The artisan said he would make it but it would take an extra week to make and send. No problem for me. My brother loved it and everywhere he goes, he gets compliments from strangers. So I will make two stops for in Animal Kingdom. The necklaces and earrings are beautiful in Africa. So I send them home and they are carefully wrapped for shipping. Shipping is worth it!

Passholders keep in mind that your passholder discount does not apply at Shop Disney so that purchase in the park may be cheaper. I just suggest hitting up the Disney Character outlets (Vineland is the best) before you go to the parks to get it out of your system and then buy what you cannot live without in the parks. Disney magic is real and costly if the magic hits you in the parks retail stores or cheaper if it hits you in the Character Warehouse. LOL.

There is an excellent Wal-Mart right outside the park on Irlo Bronson. Very short drive and a great place to get the meds you need. There is also a Walgreens and CVS in the same area. Definitely rank Garden Grill as the best of the character meals; a lot of the veggies are grown right there in their greenhouses, and you get as much as you can stuff in.

so a rather funny story, i was born with a bad right eye, which progressed so much that at the age of three, i was basically blind in it and what i did see was rather monstrous in shape. my parents did not know that. but when i was so scared to death of giant chip and dale at those dining character experiences, even though i loved it when i was a baby, it convinced them to get me checked up. you are also paying for a diagnostic tool it seems XD

Prix Fixe menus are terrible. There is no upside. They force you to eat food you may not want to order and its pre made banquet. If I go to a signature restaurant i want to order what I want and have the chef make it. Be Our Guest is an example of a restaurant that was ruined by Prix Fixe
