'Doctor Who', a show that I was loved, has been co-opted by virtue signalling propagandists. Not only that, but I can actually pinpoint the exact year this series spiralled out of control. No, not 2018. But 2005. Let me explain.
_____________
Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read the description! Here are time-stamps and examples of arguments I've heard against Series 11 that could technically be applied to Series 1.
1:34 - False Claims of 'Doctor Who' Critics being silenced (Citation Needed)
1:55 - Talk of "Diversity Quotas" when writers/directors like Malorie Blackman, Vinay Patel and Sallie Aprahamian were announced to join Series 11. Before even a frame of footage or a single line of dialogue had been revealed we had people criticising their involvement.
2:22 - The guest Series 11 writers don't have a background in TV sci-fi.
2:45 - Merely having POC and Muslims in Series 11 was criticised as forcing diversity "down throats".
3:19 - Jodie's rainbow stripe on her shirt and her multi-coloured scarf in the New Year Special has been criticising as promoting a "dangerous" pro-LGBT ideology.
3:30 - Jodie Whittaker was subject to (surprisingly passionate) criticism because she kept her Yorkshire Accent when playing the 13th Doctor.
4:50 - When criticising stories like 'It Takes You Away' and 'Demons of the Punjab', for some reason, Chris Chibnall personally bore the brunt of those criticisms despite not having a writing credit on them.
5:30 - Jodie was criticised for having "never done comedy" when she was cast despite her comedic appearances in movies like 'Adult Life Skills'.
5:50 - The Doctor is useless in Series 11 apparently.
6:23 - It hasn't been explicitly said that Time Lords can or cannot change gender through regeneration therefore it can't possibly be canon.
7:18 - The whole Captain Jack thing is rather self-explanatory.
10:30 - Donald Trump was mentioned by name in 'Arachnids in the UK' and this made the politics of the story "not subtle".
12:30 - Once again, rather self-explanatory.
13:50 - 'It Takes You Away' is apparently a story about how terrible fathers are.
15:05 - Stories like 'Rosa', 'Demons of the Punjab' and 'It Takes You Away' are supposedly terrible because they're trying to make you feel something.
15:45 - Settings depicted in 'Rosa' and 'Demons of the Punjab' "don't matter" and therefore those episodes are bad.
15:56 - The male pregnancy in 'The Tsuranga Conundrum'. The backlash of which I...still don't understand in any capacity.
18:05 - If Series 11 did it, it MUST be bad, by default.
18:30 - The stunt casting of Bradley Walsh.
19:10 - Self-Explanatory.
20:00 - 'Doctor Who's 2018 presence at Children In Need was criticised because...if Series 11 did it then it MUST be bad.
20:10 - Self-Explanatory.
