Daron Holmes is perfect for OKC talk about him. He could start at the four immediately, play beside Chet and can be a back up Center, backup big. He can cover all positions well on switches.

I agree with you, like wholeheartedly. I am pretty confident in my pessimism about his success in the league. However, I just think that this is a really nuanced discussion of the “Edey debate” and specifically his fit on this team. Again, I personally disagree with him being successful but nonetheless, I can still respect the points being made here by Miky. There is plenty of statistical evidence, some of which Miky cited in this pod, that points to Edey being successful & translating well. I just personally do not believe in those things being translatable. But I can at least listen to this discussion because it is nuanced & reasonable in its logic.

Zach will be very good in the league. The concerns people have about him are always him "unathletic," slow feet that may not translate to NBA paces, not an outside shooter. I would argue just like Shaq always says it are u dominating? If u r dominating, it doesn't matter if u can't shoot 3 or free throw. First of all, he is not slow at all. If u watch him plays, he is always in the front packs when their team rush back to the other side after scores or being scored on. 2nd, he also has good defensive skills. There were plays where he faced other team point guards, and he was able to hold them on his own. 3rd, the man grew up playing baseball and hockey and only played basketball since he was 16 years old. He already won back to back college MVPs playing against the same guys he is going to face in the NBA.

I don't understand how you can talk about the fact that the team needs size, rebound, spacing, defense and all that stuff, and then ignore that there are in this draft 2 guys like Ware and Holmes who could bring all that to the table easily

One thing to remember about Edey is he played the way he had to play in Purdue. He was the best inside payer in generations so he kept his game inside the paint. On defense he has to regulate his play because he had to be on the court 39 minutes a night, because Purdue was absolutely dead whenever he wasn't on the floor.

Daron Holmes offers a lot for this team and think he’d be a great option. We’re most likely won’t draft our ideal player at 12 they will come with weaknesses but I think they’d offer a ton of potential to offer versatility in an offense that we saw was contained in the playoffs.

Utah might pay OKC to take him away - he rebounds and shoots threes, and has been a rim runner. They don't want him given his contract and age - but his 2 years actually line up with Chet and JDub's next contracts. The one year Collins he played on a decent team (Hawks run to the conference finals in 20/21) he played his role well without complaint. And if the Thunder also got Deni Avdija, even with an overpay on draft capital, plus maybe a rookie centre in the draft, that would be a great offseason, covering off a lot of bases.

Edey talk roughly from 22:00 - 54:00 how? Lol. Mikali was talking like a Stan account on twitter. If Edey was half as good as that he would be an undisputed top 5 pick. “The fact that he’s using post ups a lot, it’s because he’s playing against minions” he’ll be the same back to basket player in the nba, and no shot he’s guarding anything on the perimeter in the nba. If we passed on Lively and Sengun and end up drafting edey at 12 I’d be so mad.
@mikesteinkrauss9773
23 күн бұрын
The Thunder didn't pass on Lively. Dallas never would have made that trade if the Thunder were targeting Lively. And the way NBA deals work you need to tell them who to pick for you. Now the Thunder did have enough ammunition to trade above Dallas if they had wanted to, but there was no chance once Lively was available to Dallas that he could have gone to OC
