Line 40 isn't needed, remove it and test again. Just a thought

Thanks for the feedback Lloyd. I'll try again with line 40 removed this weekend and I'll let you know what happens.

Lloyd, you have put me to shame. I tried it out this afternoon with line 40 removed and it works as it should, it stops at 100. Finally, all that that test showed is how bad my programming in basic is. Thanks again ;)

Hey Mate, just found your channel today (2021-03-08), looks interesting :) As does this Spectrum clone; i might build one myself some day.

Hey Berty, welcome to my humble little channel... If you'd like to build one of these clones I'd recommend the Leningrad 2 more so than the Leningrad 1 in the video. The 2 is more compatable with the Spekky, has a sort of edge connector and a working kempston joystick port, all good stuff. Oh, and leave a comment on this video before midnight 10th March and you're in for a chance of winning a little something ;) kzitem.info/news/bejne/wKZmmXeojZufaGk

It's not russian, it is Soviet clone.

You're absolutely right, It is a Soviet clone as it was made in 1988. I'm sorry I got that wrong. I'll correct it.

Thanks for the correction, I got his name wrong. He did design one hell of a clone though.

Hello! Good work! I try to make the same clone but I don’t know how to do the video out! Can you help me with the scart cable? On the board I have RGB and V but I don’t know the pinout of the Scart connector! Thank a lot

Hi Andrea, PM me and I'll send you the info I have on building the cable and a possible timing circuit you may need to build to make the Leningrad's signal compatable with modern PAL European televisions.

Looks like a great little system, sometimes the clone systems can be just as interesting, if not more (having to build it yourself), than the originals.

It is a fun system, and I've spent more time studying and building this than I've spent on any of the other systems I have. And I haven't finished with it yet... Thanks as always for watching Ken.

I have a broken Timex/Sinclair 2068 which is supposed to be the Spectrum's cousin. I'd like to try and get it working again. Love the homemade box! Gives it that early 70's computer look whereyou had to build your own box on those earlier systems.

I've seen videos on the American Timex systems but I've never seen one "in the flesh". Unfortunately they are from what I've heard 0% compatible with the UK's ZX Spectrum. Still, it would be well worth repairing if you could.

@@8bitsinthebasement You need a special rom replacement to run the spectrum games but apparently it is possible.
@BertGrink
3 жыл бұрын
@@GORF_EMPIRE That is correct; when the TS2068 was released in the US, Timex offered a cartridge with an original ZX Spectrum ROM which would improve compatibility to around 95% or so, from what information i have gathered. Quite a few people have gone a step further, and installed a ZX ROM inside the TS, piggyback style, and use a switch to select which ROM is in use. There was also an European version, made by Timex Computer in Portugal, which has PAL video: the TC2068. After a lot of searching and waiting, i have managed to get one of each! 😁

@@BertGrink I need to find out why mine does not work before worrying about making it compatible. :D
