When I watch you disassemble the top end and see all the oil and crap in the intake it reminds me how anti consumer diesel engine design is today. Why wouldn't diesel engine designers design an EGR system that extracted the exhaust gas source after the diesel particulate filter? Turning the EGR off during regen because regen needs heat.........but I digress. Sorry 4 the complaining, I love the 6.7 except for the ridiculous emission system design prevalent on all diesel's these days . Great video BTW thanks!!!!

Curious why Ford did 2 things.... Why does the latest version no longer have the big Helmholtz chambers on the intake tube?. Makes easier visibility for sure but wonder if there's more 'sound'? Of course it appears when they reversed their battery relocation decision back to the old orientation, they designed the new air box and seems to me that's when the Helmholtz chamber disappear. Second, why did they go back to aluminum upper intake from the plastic? Everyone is going to or still doing plastic manifolds. Including Ford with other engines they produce.
