You guys gave Charles Poliquin props. Yes he was very smart. But YOU guys at garage strength & knees over toes are genuine nice guys, smart but humble not arrogant. So 10 yrs ago I questioned the high price of something Poliquin was selling in his vid. I liked his vids BUT he always came across as projecting a bit arrogant and sure enough he blocked me from comments AND he was friends with the Testosterone Nation guy and send word to him to block me also. Charles Poliquin & I same age, he had accomplishments as a coach, I had accomplishments as a real athlete > hundreds of wins wrestler and 3rd in World in crossfit in 2015 & 2016 but his EGO was too fragile to deal with me as his peer. You guys are a level way above Poliquin simply by reason of not trying to project being way smarter than your viewers > ironically that cool mentality inspires me to say > you two are WAY smarter than me. Poliquin was way smarter than me too but was stuck up with it. That is the difference.

I'm 70 years old. I started doing some of the exercises over 6 months ago. My knees are super strong now. Personally, I am a carnivore and eat very few carbs. I feel best eating this woe due to autoimmune disease. Every person should experiement with their food to understand what works best for him/her. Great interview. Thanks for the video.

I played tennis in college at a D1 school, got into running and raced over 50 marathons, then completed 5 Ironman triathlons. But compared to you 2 I feel like I have no discipline. Haha. You guys are monsters. Now I’m doing all the strength training you guys advocate and it’s seems like the toughest training I’ve ever done. Thank you!

Great stuff Dane, as always! I started adding sled pull / pushes on a regular basis and have experienced less knee pain (and doing ATG squats between sets of back / front squats) so it seems like Ben is on the right track! Keep up the good work and Congrats on all the success at the Arnold!

So dialed in on the body mechanics- Ben Patrick blows my mind in this field. His level of passion and knowledge all from a place of necessity. I appreciate it bc his knee problems were my gut problems. I went down the rabbit hole and studied nutrition and why we get sick. I tried every cleanse on the planet and even got certified in plant based nutrition. Then I found the book, Cleanse to Heal and my mind was blown. Be careful taking nutrition advice from KZitem body builders - do your own research and go to the experts. Charles Parliquin was a genius in body mechanics but not nutrition.

thanks for your services. I have been following you and ben Patrick for some time and the amount of motivation you both have given me has been tremendous. this past year I have been going through illness and put on a lot of fat and lost a big chunk of my athleticism. but because of you guys, I will be changing that and building a new foundation of the powerhouse I will build thank you for the hard work you are doing and putting this quality training material

When I see Mr. Bell, I see epitome of Strength, he has Balance, and he has stability to go with it. What we're looking for is something REAL, like Ankle, Knee, and Hip Mobility and CONTROL and with it reverse stability or it may be backward (don't think about this too much if its too difficult.) See I didn't make Life difficult.

Hey, there’s this Jay Vincent guy who says the two of you are dummies. Who used to be a model for Under Armour so I think he knows what he’s talking about. Anyway, I signed up for a $150/month subscription with him. Turns out, you just have to do workouts on like three different Cybex machines really slowly like once a week and you’ll be good at every sport in the world. He’s really exposing guys like you who think they know a thing or two just because they’ve trained an Olympian here and there.

I watched one of Ben's early videos and he said something I thought was totally incorrect and I wasn't sure he knew what he was talking about: but his newer videos seem to be better and I saw Charles P. and Cal Dietz videos before I saw his and his inclusion of a physical therapist as a consultant on his videos. Ben seems to explains the exercises more accurately now and he may have edited his older videos but he does seem to have listened to critics and improved his quality: unlike others who just don't listen or double down. He has also incorporated other people's good exercise techniques. Being Eclectic and using many good exercise techniques from different sources is the way to go. But I do believe Ben has improved since the first video I saw but having 30+ years as a Physical therapist Assistant I am more critical . It wasn't the exercise that was problem it was he reason he gave about the exercise that I thought was incorrect. But my doubts have satisfied and I do like his videos now : but Athletes can usually start at a higher level on many of his exercises after a strength test and technique review. Incorporating negative and heavy overload for athletes is a must but young kids and seniors can benefit greatly from body weight or lower resistance to start out.

There are many variables and variations when it comes to each part of the body, eccentric and concentric are fairly simple concepts but the implementations for each joint and scaling can be fairly complex. I don’t see anything wrong with repetition either. If you have a firm grasp on his concepts and how to implement them, good for you. Not sure why your looking at it in a negative light, it’s free information.

great video Dane, so I noticed after about 47 yrs old my knee and shin area seemed to get skinny, hmmmm, push press numbers fell way off at same time, vertical jump fell off also and throws distance started to drop, but back squat stayed about the same.....seems like this might be a very important over looked aspect, a thing that comes naturally for younger athletes but not as we get older ...love to see any ideas for throwers to use this in workouts
