I remember a time when the navy geddon was THE faction BS to bring into an armor brawl in low sec. The pirate hull powercreep is strong 😅🙄

Looking back, the thing I never understood was the +5% rof per level bonus. Then Abaddon has +7.5% *damage* per level bonus. The dps gain on the most efficient dps source in any game, raw damage, is higher, than the less efficient dps source, rof. There is always a rof cap in every game. There is no damage cap in any game. Then, capacitor bonus. This only makes sense if you have extreme cap usage from guns. But cap usage isn't big enough to warrant -50% cap usage. Realistically if Navygeddon stayed more or less the same, you would have a full loadout for 8 guns and a whopping +12.5% rof per level bonus along with increased base speed and agility. Make it a real laser dps machine.

Its a mix between Navy battleships not really been touched since 2013 and the Abaddon getting a buff a couple years ago (went from 5% damage to 7.5% damage). Before the damage buff, the Abaddon was a bit more comparable to the navy geddon. Now the Abaddon is quite clearly the better ship for almost any engagement you'd consider the Navy Geddon for.

Those traits dont cancel each other out. Check reactive armor hardener. Same pattern used there.

The reactive hardener is a single module. Not 7 large energy weapons. For reference, the RAH consumes 10Gj of cap per cycle every 5s at max skill. A single T2 MPL with multi frequency on the navy geddon consumes 13.5GJ per shot every 5 seconds, and multiply that by 7, you are using roughly 100 GJ every time you shoot. If you want to talk about using Tach's they use 28.5 GJ per gun, per shot, or 200GJ per grouped shot. Of course you can't really fit 7 tach's on the navy geddon because its fitting sucks. Anyway, yes, they cancel each other out, or at the minimum don't make a significant difference in the scheme of things. So while you're saving cap per shot, you are now shooting faster which will cause you to deplete cap faster. There is a huge difference between a single module sucking up 10GJ every 5 seconds, and 7 guns sucking up 100-200 GJ every shot, which now shoots faster.

I think CCP should make Armageddon Navy into a drone/laser hybrid like the domi navy issue, -1 gun, and move 1 high slot to med And your proposed rebalancing traits should go into apocalypse navy
