Thank you for this video! I started learning arpeggios from my guitar teacher, but forgot how to use them 😅

It takes a bit of mucking around but keep at it, and apply them to moving chords for fun results!!!

Awesome lesson Adrian, thanks! I have a question… it seems like any rockabilly lessons I find are always in major keys(same with jump blues) but what about soloing over minor chord progressions (I prefer the darker stuff)? Do most of the same licks and techniques work because they are using a mix of the major and minor pentatonic or should we approach minor rockabilly in a different way/different licks and lines? Thanks you!

Hey Brandon, a lot of licks will transfer well from minor to major, but only the minor based links will transfer back if that makes sense - once you include that major third it can be a bit tricky making them work over minor chords. Using minor blues, minor pentatonic and harmonic minor will work well - I’ll link you to a video I made about the harmonic minor scale

Some licks based on those "extended" arpeggios (like the sneak peek at the end) would definitely be very much appreciated (by me anyway ;-) ) Thanks. And congratulations for the home made space machine! That's a piece of guitar work that you produced ! 👏👏👏

Thanks man! I get the feeling these videos will become more and more relevant to you! From here - blending arpeggios and scales, modes, extended chords and of course extended arpeggios! All in good time, but it will be worth it 🙂 thank you, yes that album was fun to make!

Thanks Adrian, so in a key the 7th chord is a diminished is that correct. Is there any other chords major minor etc you could play in stead. Thanks

@@jameswright6112 hey James, half diminished is the natural chord you’ll get at the 7th degree :) Checkout my video on 7th chords, that’s your next option!
