Hello, I'm wondering if auralisation is similar to olophonic or 8d recordings or even soundscaping? Thank you

Hello! yes, auralisation is similar to all these terms, especially soundscapes. The difference to 8D audio is that 8D is typically a binaural audio while moving through a space (where ODEON creates them at a static point), and holophonics are also binaural audio like auralisations except it is also based on some scientifically unproven claims about the auditory system. Another difference is that these terms you mention can feel realistic but they typically create artificial environments, while the purpose of auralisation is to simulate what a specific real room sounds like, or will sound like once it's built.
