What is your take between old vs new advance fastpack?

If you open the second zip, you can put stuff in there, it will stay at the top of the bag and it is easy to access. I find it useful for clothing.

Great video, looks like a sensible well thought out bag (typical advance) sometimes squeezing and compressing everything down is not the thing to do - as we see here. I've bought a lot from flybubble - really great service and support from Nancy, Carlo and the team. Keep up the great informative videos.

The second zip is to open the fast pack with out every thing falling out. If you put some water bag or your phone it's quite useful.

I've had that same Advance Fast Pack bag for a while now. It's been great. Really like it. Bought it because it seemed really well thought out. Also have the Advance Compress Tube bag which is also fantastic

I use the BGD one - they all do the same kind of thing but I like that this has an external zipper and seems to provide more stability a la rucksack than a big circular bag on your back - great review...👍

it would be better if it had compression straps to pack up smaller

Wonderful bag as I’ve had one for some time. It’s works great with my Easiness 3 harness and Epsilon wing. I’ve wondered about that second zipper also??? Thanks!

I use an apco tandem concertina because i don't do hike and fly. It's easy. Good protection, and allows the glider to breath and dry

I have one of these bags and don't rate them at all. My Gin fastpack bag is far superior for mushrooming a wing still attached to the harness and getting away from landing quickly and comfortably. This has a huge hole at the bottom which allows helmets and jackets to fall out when walking over rough ground. Worst of all it has no internal hold down straps at all. If you keep your wing attached to the harness, the harness slowly moves from being neat and tidy and easy to carry to a mess trying to escape from the bottom hole and looking to relax horizontally as you walk it home. This make the pack uncomfortable and cumbersome, needing to periodically stop and reposition everything, check nothing has fallen out and try and tighten the external straps available to keep the weight in place and distributed vertically. Topping all that as the video shows it has a habit of sitting around your hips not shoulders, which makes it uncomfortable and awkward for a long trek home. On a longer trip away I leave my kit in a fastpack bag for the duration, just grabbing it each morning. On launch I frequently find myself untangling lines because this bag doesn't hold everything in place properly. Worst of all, if you realise during the post flying beers that it's getting chilly, retrieving your jacket from somewhere inside the jumbled mess results in you pulling the whole lot out. IMO this bag is ill-conceived and poorly designed. Though far from perfect, and wider when packed, stuff stays in place, sits on your shoulders, has decent tightening straps and is much faster to pack as it has a larger more open skirt for the wing. In my view this is a far superior fastpack bag : flybubble.com/gin-fast-packing-bag-light-3

@@TheGrundigg Exactly why I fly an Ozone Rapidos 8m... The older I got, the more I realized I don't want to be in the air a long time. I enjoy the quick ride from A to B. Thank you for taking the time to respond...

Advance have a new version of the fastpack but there is absolutely no information on it except one picture on their website. Anyone has any comments on it? How it is different from previous version in this video?

Since Advance have provided so little info for their new FASTPACK fast packing bags, Flybubble Nancy and I grabbed each size from Flybubble stock and shared what we found on the product page on our website: flybubble.com/advance-fastpack

I have the Impress 4 as well and while I absolutely love it, my one complaint is that I find it very difficult to pack it (and the wing) into the Impress 4 rucksack. I also have two reserves, but your harness looks much more compact than mine when you picked it up. Did you remove some of the foam protection, by chance?
@flybubblecarlo
2 жыл бұрын
Hi. No, I didn't remove anything from the IMPRESS 4 harness. I find it makes a lot of difference how you fold it. This is true for all gear but a bit more so than average for the IMPRESS 4, due to it's design. In case this helps, I first lay the harness out flat, then put the footplate into the seat area, keeping everything nice and flat, then fold in the sides of the harness, avoiding too much bunching up in any area, then fold the harness in half. I then put the folded wing into the bag first, then the I4 on top, flatter side to the wing, and, with a bit of compression with my knee it goes into the bag easily (a perfect fit).

I have a Success 4 harness. Looks like it would fit in that bag without my wing! I like that bag though!
