I joined a local church about 4 years ago, a large congregation of about 850 people. I only knew 2 people who attended but now I know hundreds. A super friendly group of people, I make a point to sit in a different seat almost every week. I will generally just sit and introduce myself to the person next to me, ask them if they are new or if they attended for awhile, just strike up a conversation. I have made a very very good friend there as well as many other friendships. I'm also walking and utilizing our Local State Park which is about 4 miles from my home. I'm planning on joining a hiking group there. I'm not a winter person and have seasonal depression symptoms but I'm really going to make an effort to be outside even in the cold weather. I've also taken up paint by numbers this past Winter and really enjoyed spending time painting and I'm going to do that again as well.

@@ishanabhavsarchronic pain takes a toll in every realm. the pain itself is physically debilitating & limiting. but the constant stress of the "background noise" is very hard to tune out. it's like talking over a loud lawn mower spiritually & psychologically it's very draining. it's not hard to slip into feeling like it's just better to stay away from others and secede into a solitary routine. that's where i am--after 2 consecutive years... i'm only 59, but im so finished.

i've been an avid journal-er for decades. i write at least three long hand pages daily . there is always some situation or matter of the heart to reflect upon; and sometimes it's preferable for me to write it out before i tackle a situation or goal,or whatever. even if nothing is "going on" i'll write about what i accomplished that day, what i was grateful for that day or even just note what i read, how i moved by body or what music i enjoyed. it would be tedious for anyone else to read! but i love having a running record of my thoughts & activities

I’m doing great, my body loves the heat. I am grateful every moment that feel well I can’t get enough of feeling good. The thing I love doing the most physically is cleaning. I’m benefiting and my daughters are too. 😂. I dread the thought of the weather changing into winter. I’d like to go somewhere warm in winter but finances don’t allow right now. I am looking for a job to be able to travel more. Life is coming together. I love learning, so little by little I’m changing what I don’t want into my life. Thank you for being there to encourage us on.I’m doing all of what you mentioned, just came back from library. Now I have to join patreon. ❤️

Journaling very interesting---gets me in the moment of what's been happening now, and in the past. And.....especially looking back and reading what I wrote 3, 6+ months ago, and YEARS ago! I can see where I was then and look at now. How far I may have come....and, oweee, those things I'm still holding on to! A good catalyst for making changes I've been avoiding, maybe for a very long time. Especially when it comes to forgiveness---of myself and everyone associated with past hurts. Thank you for this KZitem show Margaret, been watching a couple years now on and off. So inspiring. Need to join your payreon group! And I agree (as if you don't have enough on your plate!) a 70's plus category might be interesting too. I turn 69 this fall, and am planning what's ahead for my Big 7-0 in '25!! Bless you, thank you!❤🎉

To be honest stuff considered it a few times, but I honestly don’t know what subjects would only apply to 70-year-old woman. Other than enhanced health issues and perhaps more focus on spirituality and mortality. Perhaps you can give me some ideas of topics that would be covered in that section that would be of interest to younger women too.

I saw this book and read the description, “The Measure.” I believe it follows some individuals presented with a box that has the date of their death inside, and how they react and how it affects the rest of their life. Trying to declutter so don’t want to buy it, but I took a picture on my phone to look for it later.

Hi Margaret! You are right: some effort is needed for that. I have never written a journal, but now my "journaling" is writing comments. The latest book I have read was "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Extremely helpful. I prefer non-fiction literature nowadays. I used to love traveling, but now virtual traveling is quite satisfying (I really enjoy this video "Flying Over Switzerland") , but who knows what will happen in future... P.S. just want to add: grass-fed ghee is wonderful for the sore throat🙂

Hi veralubov, that's interesting about grass-fed ghee. How should you take it? A teaspoon a day?
@veralubov7405
15 күн бұрын
@@AmbrosiaK Grass-fed ghee is a healthy fat. A teaspoon would be too much since it is very concentrated. I take on the tip of a teaspoon (appr. less than a quarter of it) but not all at once. Let it go down slowly "bit by bit", you can feel how soothing it is. Twice a day, until you feel relief. It helps me.
